The Halcyon in Cherry Creek consistently receives excellent reviews for its superb service, luxurious accommodations, and prime location in the heart of Cherry Creek. Guests rave about the friendly and attentive staff, stylish rooms, and a wide array of amenities, including a rooftop pool and bar. While some minor issues have been raised, the overwhelming sentiment is one of a highly enjoyable and memorable stay.
I had an awesome stay at the Halcyon in Cherry Creek. The staff were great from the moment we pulled up — valet, front desk, everyone we talked to was helpful and super friendly. You can tell the management is really involved because everything just runs smoothly. Our room was perfect: clean, roomy, modern, and full of cool little touches. One of the best surprises was the record player with classic albums. Starting the morning with Johnny Cash’s At Folsom Prison was just unbeatable. I’ll definitely stay at the Halcyon again the next time I’m in Denver. Highly recommend it.
Our recent 11-night stay at the Halcyon Hotel was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The location is absolutely excellent—it serves as the perfect home base for exploring Denver's Cherry Creek neighborhood, with countless restaurants, shops, and attractions just a short walk away. As beautiful as the property is, what truly elevated our stay was the exceptional staff. Every single employee we interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely invested in our comfort. We have to give special shoutouts to Robert (Hotel Manager), Chuck and Rick (Bartenders Extraordinaire), Krzysztof, Carolyn and Cat (Front Desk), and Blaine and Samantha (Rooftop Pool). Their extraordinary attention to detail and proactive helpfulness never went unnoticed. The hotel itself was incredibly comfortable, perfectly maintained, and endlessly welcoming. After nearly two weeks, it genuinely felt like a home away from home. We highly recommend the Halcyon Hotel and look forward to staying here again on our next visit to Denver!
I got to celebrate Mother's Day at the Halcyon in Cherry Creek and it was an amazing experience. The food and service were next level. The ballroom is such a beautiful space with floor to ceiling windows offering beautiful views of Cherry Creek and lots of natural light. My small children loved the kids buffet and all of the little touches to make them feel special as well. They brought us a delicious dessert from the Local Jones menu, such a thoughtful gesture. It was a great way to celebrate the holiday.
We spent this past weekend here for a girls' trip to celebrate Mother’s Day, and it was absolutely flawless. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was fun and welcoming. The rooftop pool is truly top-notch—we rented a cabana for the day, which I highly recommend. The food was delicious, the drinks were flowing, and the atmosphere was exactly what we needed. Our room was surprisingly spacious and filled with "adorable" thoughtful touches, like the in-room yoga mat and block! What really sets this hotel apart, though, is the service. A huge thank you to Sophie at the front desk for making check-in so seamless and welcoming, and to Jacob at the pool for taking such great care of us at the cabana. I feel so grateful we chose this lovely spot for our celebration. We will definitely be back!
We loved our stay at the halcyon! Fantastic neighborhood, very walkable and lots of restaurants around. We were traveling as a family of four, plenty for the kids to do. We especially loved the rooftop pool and the hot tub. There were a lot of great amenities at the hotel, and we took advantage of the day passes to the zoo, and close proximity to playgrounds. The food at local Jones was delicious too. Mike at the front desk was especially helpful and we really appreciated the hospitality.
Lovely hotel and location. We had a Jr Suite and loved the windows to the open air. Design of the hotel and rooms are unique and clean. Hot tub and heated pool were great ways to begin the day - appreciated that the hotel kept them open and heated on cold days. Restaurants onsite are excellent and give a variety of options throughout the day. Ate at both Quality Italian and Local Jones. The hotel also allows food delivery to the room from third parties and has room service. Lines can be long at check in/out times - but that’s part of being a boutique hotel with unique amenities (craft coffee, etc). We will definitely stay here in the future.
Speakeasy bar was fun, and overall service was friendly. Sharing parking tips for those who want to avoid valet fees. We considered two parking lots since our luggage was minimal. On Saturday we parked our car at 250 columbine, which is right across the street from the hotel, and as we drove out on Sunday afternoon we paid $45. There was another nearby garage with cheaper overnight rate at $36
I was part of a group that had an incredibly disturbing encounter with a valet attendant at the Halcyon. From the moment we pulled up, the attendant’s tone was hostile and confrontational completely unprovoked. What made this experience particularly frustrating was how hard our group worked to de-escalate the situation. Multiple times, we calmly tried to diffuse the tension and bring things to a civil resolution. Each attempt was met with even more aggression. Rather than backing down, the attendant physically positioned himself within inches of our faces an intimidating and threatening move that left us feeling unsafe. We were also pressured to pay him directly through a personal Venmo rather than through the hotel’s official system, which felt completely inappropriate. No guest should have to repeatedly beg a service employee to simply treat them with basic respect. We did everything right — stayed calm, communicated clearly, and gave him every opportunity to course-correct. He chose not to. I genuinely hope management reviews this seriously. This level of behavior has no place in a hospitality setting.????????????????
This is my new favorite hotel in Denver! The staff, including Margot, Alejandro, James, Jack, Matthew and the entire housekeeping team, were absolutely incredible. Margot was exceptional and really went above and beyond. She was able to help with all of my many unique requests and gave me great local recommendations. The courtesy car service made going places so much easier and Alejandro was such a safe and friendly driver. My room was made spotless everyday. The women's clothing in the lobby was so cute! I even bought a pair of cashmere gloves. The rooftop hot tub is a great way to unwind after a long day. Everyone was so friendly. I can't wait to come back. I highly recommend staying here.
My wife has stayed here before and told me I would like. I love it. Room is nice and clean and well appointed. Not upper luxurious but certainly comfortable and clean. Each floor has a tap with filtered water and large bottles to fill. That tap also dispenses hot water and there is a variety of tea bags and mugs. The front desk has 24/7 barista services with latte’s, cappacino’s, espresso, Americano, etc. included in the room rate. The room has an espresso machine with pods included and snacks for purchase. The two restaurants and bars in the lobby are fantastic. Great location. All around great place to stay.
