The Clayton Hotel & Members Club offers a luxurious experience in the heart of Denver’s Cherry Creek district, blending a traditional hotel with a private club atmosphere. Recent reviews highlight excellent service, upscale amenities, and a vibrant social scene, particularly within the members’ areas. However, concerns regarding inconsistent food quality and unexpected fees have been raised by some guests.
I'm writing this for the social club portion of the Clayton. I am a member at a different social club in a different state and there was an option for me to visit the Clayton while in Denver on business. This was a fun location to come and work. It was full and plenty of business meetings happening in a fun setup of the club. I ate lunch here as well and recommend the hamburger. The service was a bit slow, but still a great stay to get some work done between business meetings.
The Clayton Hotel & Members Club is the Gold Standard in luxurious business class stays for the Cherry Creek district of Denver, CO. The service, amenities, and food choices are awesome! I tried both, the Alteno and Mar Bella Boqueria restaurants and was blown away by the quality of food, staff and service. A most enjoyable three night stay!
Loved my stay here! Was traveling for work and this was the perfect hotel for business and relaxing. Recommend booked through Amex if you have their credit card, I got a room upgrade and vouchers for breakfast which was such a nice perk! The space feels boutique and everyone working there was welcoming and friendly. I ate at the cafe and on the rooftop and all was delicious and fresh. Location was ideal and cute neighborhood with many options nearby. Definitely recommend!
I was a member for a couple months a while back and I really enjoyed it, I gotta say, the quality on food has gone downhill these past few months I’ve been back in Denver. Service was subpar at best, and the quality on food just doesn’t compare to when I was there last January. Please if you’re looking for an okay service this is for you. If you’re looking for GOOD food, go anywhere else, the chefs obviously do not care about what they’re putting out.
First off Staff is great. I hate leaving a bad review but I do not think this hotel represents itself correctly , first and foremost it is a members only club, this is a county club w out a golf course. And if you like the private club crowd....this is your place.... sadly it is not mine......The entire lobby is a bar at night and desolate and depressing during the day. The dining is on the 2nd floor and it feels like a cafeteria, and they have the members who pay to use the facility there as well. So you do not feel like you are at a hotel. I felt like I'm at a club where im are supplementing their fees by staying in a really ugly small room. My first room was a coffin, the next was on the street and it was fine. Overall the decor in the rooms feels very ymca or hostel. I'm surprised if this furniture is new and not repurposed. Tyler was really trying to work with me and he was wonderful, the staff is wonderful but if you want a traditional hotel, this is not it, I stayed here to be in cherry creek , but I'm checking out. I'd rather eat 3 nights than stay here. I'm sorry to leave such a bad review, but this hotel is not a traditional hotel and people should know what they are getting into .
I had an exceptional stay at the Clayton Hotel and cannot recommend it highly enough. The location is truly ideal, centrally located in Cherry Creek, which was especially charming during my visit as the neighborhood was still fully adorned with twinkle lights on every street for the holiday season. The area feels lively, upscale, and festive, yet relaxed. The hotel is walkable to an incredible collection of acclaimed restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and retail, making it easy to explore if you want to venture outside. That said, the food and beverage concepts onsite are top notch in their own right, and easily stand on their own as destinations. The atmosphere of the hotel is polished and inviting, with a stylish, modern vibe that still feels warm and comfortable. The rooms were beautifully designed, spacious, and extremely comfortable. Cleanliness throughout the property was impeccable and clearly a priority. Despite the central location, the noise level was impressively low. The rooms felt quiet and serene, which made it easy to unwind and get a great night’s sleep. The service truly sets this hotel apart. The staff was welcoming, friendly, professional, and quick to act at every touchpoint. Every interaction felt thoughtful and genuine. The amenities are well curated and elevate the entire experience. Nothing feels generic or overlooked. The valet service was seamless and incredibly convenient. Being able to order your car to the front with a quick text made coming and going effortless. Overall, the Clayton Hotel delivers a refined, comfortable, and memorable stay in one of Denver’s best neighborhoods. A flawless experience from start to finish and well deserving of five stars.
I am long overdue in sharing my appreciation for the exceptional experience with the service as valet service at The Clayton Hotel. From the moment I arrive, I am greeted by a valet team who know me by name and make me feel truly welcomed as a member. Their warmth and professionalism shine through in every interaction, creating a welcoming atmosphere that took me to the next level of service when I stepped to the front desk. Charlie, Tyler, and the front desk staff once again greet me by name, and they ask me if I don’t have any when joining me. That level of personal attention makes a difference between checking in at a front desk hotel and being greeted by ambassadors of a membership club. The exceptional service is topped off by the service staff on the membership club. In particular, there have been here since the founding. There’s something to be said when you sit down and Frankie or Mahindu bring you your referred beverage to start your workday without having to ask. Or when I moved to the sixth floor for lunch or dinner meetings, and Cara knows my preferred table and is able to offer my guess a true sense of the Eclectic menu and the wine list. It had a shared, warm, and welcoming, and not transactional. The attention to detail and genuine friendliness exhibited by the wait staff and Jeff, Roger, and the other members of the valet team exemplifies the high standards of customer service one would come to expect when joining a membership club. They always go above and beyond to ensure my experience is seamless and enjoyable. The Clayton stands out as a truly unique private membership club, largely due to the incredible diversity of its members and professional staff. It’s a space where a wide range of professions, races, genders, sexual orientations, and ideologies come together, fostering an environment that is both enriching and supportive. This vibrant tapestry of individuals has made The Clayton my go-to place for work, community engagement, and social networking. What sets The Clayton apart from other venues in Cherry Creek is not just its beautiful physical space, but the genuine commitment to maintaining this diversity, which is a signature characteristic of the club. Here, every member contributes to a welcoming atmosphere that celebrates differences and encourages collaboration. It is this inclusivity that transforms The Clayton into more than just another private club; it is a thriving community where meaningful connections are made and lasting relationships are built. I wholeheartedly recommend The Clayton to anyone seeking a space that values diversity and fosters personal and professional growth. As a founding member, I can confidently say that the outstanding service is one of the key reasons I i’ve stayed for my own “ Staycation” Have family members who routinely stay for the Cherry Creek Arts Festival or Simply visit in Denver and why I choose to renew my membership Their dedication and commitment to excellence have inspired me to encourage others to join as well. The Clayton Hotel has cultivated not just a team, but a family of professionals who truly care about their guests. If you're looking for a top-notch membership club, and work / social space that combines warmth, professionalism, and a personal touch, look no further than at The Clayton!
Clayton is a hotel and a private members club located in the Cherry Creek area and surrounded by lots of bars and restaurants. If you are staying there then you do get access to the members only areas which includes a co-working space and bar/restaurant. The prices for the food and drinks is reasonable and service is great across the board. It does have two restaurants at the street level and one by the pool on the top floor. The room: room was great and spacious although it is a bit pricey compared to other hotels of similar level. While I do recommend the stay given it has won various distinction including Michelin distinction, some might feel that it is on the expensive side.
The Clayton is a stylish hotel in a great location, near plenty of shops and restaurants. The rooms are reasonably sized and nicely furnished, and there are some great great spaces for working and/or mingling with clients or colleagues. Most of all, the service was excellent. I arrived to find that my reservation was booked for the wrong dates. They resolved the issue with minimal hassle, despite the fact that the reservation had been booked through one of the Expedia sites. I look forward to staying there again on my next trip to Denver.
The entire Clayton hotel/club is an exceptional experience. From the phenomenal valet service, which is always friendly and spot on efficient, to the rooms and roof top pool…the Clayton is a top notch experience! Highly recommended!
