Tru by Hilton Denver Downtown Convention Center offers a convenient and affordable stay in the heart of Denver, close to attractions and the convention center. While praised for its location, friendly valet staff, and included breakfast, reviews highlight concerns about noise levels, room size, and inconsistent service from front desk staff.
Solid stay at the Tru by Hilton downtown Denver. The staff here have been genuinely next level, friendly, professional, and clearly take their jobs seriously. They were strict about security which actually got a little awkward since I was using my wife’s points account and wasn’t technically on the reservation. Totally get why the policy exists but not gonna lie, it ruffled my feathers a bit. Still, the team handled it with grace and kept things cool. The bar is a vibe, breakfast hit the spot, and the room was clean and fresh. At the end of the day this stay was a win, and the staff are the main reason why. Would roll through again no question.
Nice, clean, and simple rooms. Staff all seemed friendly, several close parking garages. We parked across the street and the fee was reasonable. Was close enough to walk to Coors Field. Fun bar across the street to play some pool and have a few drinks. Overall a good location to enjoy down town Denver. Would stay again.
I had a great experience during my 4-day stay. The staff was very kind and friendly. The hotel is very clean and modern and I like that the room didn’t have any smell. I also didn’t find any roaches which is super important to me. They were also very accommodating and let us storage our bags after checkout since our flight was at night and we wanted to explore more. I was also so glad we were able to get early check in as a hilton honors member. Overall a great experience and I would recommend this hotel to everyone!
Room was fine. Comfortable bed and working space. Shower water temp was pretty variable. Lobby has nice amount of space to chill or work, and a casual bar for evenings. Breakfast area was big and had lots of options. Staff were great including the valet. I do not recommend using the laundry service. I didn’t check pricing before thinking washing four pairs of underwear and socks and two tshirts would be one load with no dry cleaning or ironing. They charged me like $65!! I couldn’t believe it.
Great location for people in town for Convention or a Denver adventure. The included breakfast is perfect with a great variety of hot options. Walking distance to downtown spots and right by 16th street which is a nice walkable area with a Free Bus that constantly passes by. I don’t know if it’s the season, but very low activity/people in Downtown. The spots around town were nice but pretty empty which made us feel somewhat unsafe walking at night.
I came to Denver for my very first trip out of Texas and chose to stay here since I’d be solo the first 2/4 nights in Colorado. I really enjoyed my time here and would come back. The room was comfortable and the view was great. I loved that they accommodated me and gave me the top floor. Despite one of the rude overnight front desk attendant, the rest of the staff were very welcoming and made sure everything ran smoothly for me. Special shoutouts and honorable mentions to: Valets (Dylan, George, Daniel, Oran and Logan), Front Desk (Angel, Alyssa and Cristy). Each one of them were sweet and very helpful with all of my needs. Thank you for making my visit/stay wonderful.
It's hotels one of my favorites it's literally right downtown with walking distance from the convention center it's right down the street from the stadium meow Wolf is right down the street and a lot of other restaurants and fun things to do. It's also with walking distance from a bunch of bars if you're looking to bar hopping other than that it's it's really great and the staff is pretty good The rooms are really nice I got one on the top floor so that was awesome and it overlooks the whole city so if you're looking for really cool experience get one on the top floor. The rooms tend to be a little pricey depending on the time of year , but I always have a great time every time I go .
I am writing this review in regard to a refund I have been requesting for several days. I reserved a room for 01/10/26-01/11/26 to celebrate my 30th birthday. I was unfortunately diagnosed with the flu an pneumonia on 01/09/2026 and was unable to celebrate anything. I called bookinh.com customer service Friday to cancel the reservation as I did not want to expose any of the staff or other guests to my illness'. I was still charged for this room. I also messaged the hotel who informed they would allow a refund but i needed to discuss it with booking.com. I have made several efforts of getting in contact with them but have not had any success. After the hotel approved my refund over the weekend, the hotel then informed me today that my reservation was show as a "no-show", even after I reached out on Friday 01/09 to cancel. I have been going back and forth with them ever since and find it unethical to try and charge a potential customer due to them being sick. Human beings cannot plan or scheduled when they will be sick. I am simply asking for the money that was not suppose to be taken from my account (as I did reach out and communicate this on 01/09/2026) to be returned to my bank account. I am confused as why this has been such a hassle. I work in the medical field, we would not charge a patient for a visit they are not able to attend if they are sick. If your hotel would like to practice good customer satisfaction, this should be one of them. Thank you.
This was my second time staying at this hotel, and I honestly recommend finding another place. Here are my reasons. 1. The room was not clean. I found a noticeable amount of hair in the bathroom. 2. I requested one extra pillow, but housekeeping never came. The front desk said they only had one housekeeper working on a busy Saturday. If that’s true, it shows a serious lack of staff management. That also explains why the room wasn’t properly cleaned. You’re better off staying somewhere with better service quality and faster response times. 3. If you’re traveling with pets, stay somewhere else. There is no nearby area around the hotel where pets can urinate or defecate.
Great location. It is near to everything you would need. The employees and amenities were a highlight. Thank you for being open during the holidays. The hotel is right at front of a big parking lot so the view is decent but not great. Since the hotel it is in the downtown. Just be careful going for a walk around the city. I have noticed a good amount of people under drugs or homeless people.
