The Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center receives mixed reviews, with strong positive feedback regarding service and amenities like the breakfast buffet and shuttle service. However, recent experiences have highlighted concerns related to inconsistent service levels, cleanliness issues, and pricing practices. Notably, several reviewers reported uncomfortable interactions with staff and persistent cleanliness problems in the hotel and parking areas, impacting the overall guest experience.
It was overall a decent experience. Finding the older overnight clerk Lonise (had on a big white jacket and slippers on) sleep by the stairs and calling her name a few times the first night didn't make me feel safe to a degree. March, the other clerk came and apologized and took all accountability and gave me fresh towels.
I had a really great experience here. Booked because it was the official accommodation for a wedding I attended. Nice clean rooms with bathtubs, very friendly staff, and an incredible breakfast buffet (probably best I've ever seen). I would be thrilled to return. Only slight issue was that there was no towel hook on my bathroom door (I saw the holes where it looked like one used to be). I was in the room solo and housekeeping replaced daily, so it wasn't a problem, but hopefully they will fix for the next guest. Hopefully a one-off.
I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center back in May for a weekend celebrating my friend’s birthday, and overall I truly loved the hotel and the area. The property is beautiful, the heated pool and sauna were great amenities, and most of the staff were wonderful. The restaurant food was excellent—we had steak tacos, a Caesar salad, dessert, and drinks, all of which were great. A special mention to Chelsea at the bar, who was an amazing bartender and made our experience even better. Because I enjoyed the hotel and my stay so much, I feel it’s important to share one piece of feedback that stood out negatively. I am Asian American (Chinese descent), and during my stay I had an uncomfortable experience with a night-shift employee named Lonise . Late at night, as I returned from the parking lot dressed for a night out (dress and heels), she stopped me immediately upon entering the hotel and questioned me in a very aggressive and harassing manner—asking if I was staying at the hotel, what my room number was, my last name, and why I was there. What made this interaction especially troubling was that other guests walked into the hotel before and after me and were not questioned at all. I was the only person stopped, which made me feel targeted and policed. The interaction left me extremely uncomfortable and singled out. Shortly after, I realized I had forgotten my room key. My friend, who was the primary guest, was still parking the car, so I went back to the front desk to request a key. Although I was registered as a guest on the reservation, I was told I could not receive a key because I was not the primary guest. I understand policy, but combined with the earlier interaction, this made me feel further singled out. I had to wait in the lobby until my friend returned so we could go back to the room. Later, after realizing we hadn’t received housekeeping service and needed clean towels, I returned to the lobby about an hour later. At that time, I saw the same employee, Lonise, asleep in a chair under the back stairs in the lobby, which felt very unprofessional—especially given how aggressively she had questioned me earlier. Not wanting to wake her, I approached the front desk for assistance and was helped by another employee named Katrina. Unfortunately, she appeared extremely bothered by my request for towels. She was eating Taco Bell at the front desk and chatting with what appeared to be a security guard. Although she eventually provided the towels, her attitude was very negative and unwelcoming. Aside from these late-night interactions, everything else about the hotel was excellent. That said, I strongly recommend that management or a supervisor address the conduct and professionalism of the night-shift staff. I understand it was late, but professionalism and respectful treatment of guests should always be upheld—especially in a hotel of this caliber. I’m sharing this feedback because I genuinely enjoyed my stay overall and believe the hotel has the potential to be outstanding with better overnight guest service.
The breakfast service and food were special and something to write home about. We were very impressed by the breakfast and thought that it was more than worth the $15 per person charge. Do not miss out on it. Rooms were perfect as well. Everything was in good working order, nothing was missing and the pillows/mattress were comfortable. We could not have asked for more. We had to pay $20 for parking one vehicle overnight - in an empty parking lot - and found this to be unfortunate. But this is not unusual in a high-end hotel in an urban setting. Just be aware that there is a parking fee.
This review is all about Hyatt's parking at this location (DTC). I'm attending an event at the hotel. The parking app requires that I enter a time, but the validation is good for all day. After paying (which was a surprise itself), I stayed longer than expected. The validation is good for the entire day. But the app forces me to perform an update to extend the parking time. The app knows it is a $0 cost owing change, but charges me $1 to update the times. I believe this to be ridiculous (the cost isn't s frustrating as the feel of being nickel and dimed)
I was a guest at the hotel for a week for business. There was an issue with my room, I was relaying to a colleague and the driver overheard me. He immediately walked up, asked about the issue, he got the general manager and they insisted that I allow them to change my room. I was going to office so I told them I would on my return. Upon my return, they changed my room, provided me with assistance to get my stuff to the new upgraded room. Upon getting to the room I saw a card, a pot of hot water, all the trimmings for hot chocolate, some candy and a scarf. They went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. I could not finish the review without a shout out to their amazing shuttle drivers, the level of customer service is fantastic! They are helpful, polite, quick to provide recommendations for restaurants etc. Great value and exceptional service.
Service more than anything. I stayed two weeks for work because it was next door to my training. First impression. Bathroom the shower bar was bent hanging off the wall. My door plate fell off. Housekeeping did not clean my room for Five Days. I called the front desk and told them I needed them to come clear garbage (because of my training, and homework, I had to do every night I was doing a lot of DoorDash, so leftovers and food) the room smelled so bad. I was told they would come and take the garbage however they never showed up after not cleaning my room for five days. On the sixth day, they finally cleaned my room. I also had to ask for extra supplies when they didn’t clean my room such as coffee for the morning, etc. They never cleaned the glasses or coffee cups in my room. I had to go get some myself so that I would have something to be able to drink out of. Overall, just very disappointed in the guest service and the lack of commitment to the guest. The people in the room next to me were so loud and woke me up at six in the morning with loud music and noise that lasted for several hours And the only day that I was able to sleep in over the weekends between my two weeks I don’t think I would ever stay here again.
In August, I paid in full through my job for a king size bed for three nights in late October. My partner and I arrived close to midnight after an exhausting and stressful day of travel including missing our original flight. I was told that despite paying in full for the room, there were no king beds available as they had all been given away. We were told our only option was a room with two double beds. We were in town for my brother's wedding which was the next day, so we didn't feel we had a choice except to take the room so we could get some sleep. I also asked since we had been downgraded to two double beds if there would be any refund on the original price paid, and was told very firmly absolutely not. I'm extremely unhappy with the circumstance, which caused additional stress and discomfort during what was already a stressful time. I told all my out-of-town family and friends at the wedding what had happened, and told my co-workers and boss upon my return, and advised that they stay at a different hotel the next time they visit.
Nice hotel overall. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Our room was pretty hot. There’s only one vent in the room and it’s tucked by the window. The parking garage is kind of dumb. You just press a button and it lets you in/out. No way to keep track if you actually are staying there. I hope there’s actual monitoring happening.
I had an excellent experience at the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center, thanks in large part to Raoul, who went above and beyond from the very first phone call. He helped me find the perfect suite for a small meeting with 4–5 people, complete with a spacious table that worked perfectly for our needs. Raoul also took care of securing guest rooms for our attendees and handled the special billing requirements seamlessly. He even arranged for early check-in so everything was ready to go on Monday morning, which made a huge difference. The hotel itself was ideal—centrally located in the heart of the Tech Center, surrounded by great restaurants, and offering plenty of convenient parking at a reasonable rate. The entire stay was smooth, professional, and stress-free.
