The Hilton Denver City Center receives generally positive reviews, particularly praising its downtown location, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. However, recurring concerns involve inconsistent service, parking costs, cleanliness issues (particularly regarding bathrooms), and occasional billing discrepancies. Recent reviews highlight some issues with noise and outdated amenities like shower heads.
My overall experience was great. The hotel room and bathroom were very clean and felt well maintained. The vale was a little expensive at $63 per night but there is a parking garage pretty much across the street that was much cheaper. The restaurant was average but very convenient for a quick take out meal.
Visiting for a conference and was happy with my hotel choice. The location is fantastic given downtown Denver is so walkable! The staff was friendly to me and the room was comfortable. Actually, the bed was above average and I slept pretty well! I also appreciated their bar staff being open after 9p since I arrived late and needed a bite of food and a cocktail.
We stayed for NYE to go to the hockey game and it was absolutely wonderful! The staff had game prizes and complimentary champagne for those 21+ (they checked IDs and we're so kind but thorough). The rooms and hallways feel luxurious but are simple. This does support an electronic key. The shower heads were lower than expected but the provided toiletries were great. If you have a singular stay, they only provide the towels for that so if you require more please just let them know. The elevators, even though there are 6 of them, can cause quite an issue if backed up. (We exited off of ours and saw the line go nearly back to the escalators location). But overall this was so pretty and such a treat! We would absolutely stay here again!
Unfortunately, this was not an enjoyable stay. The “gentleman” at the front desk was impressively unhelpful—a surprising feat, especially given that we’re Diamond members and usually accustomed to friendly, competent service. Parking was inconvenient at best, which turned returning to the hotel into an unexpected urban adventure, complete with navigating around homeless individuals. Not exactly the relaxing welcome one hopes for after a long day. Our room on the 20th floor could generously be described as “efficiently sized,” and the bed had all the comfort of a decorative slab of concrete. Sleeping was more of a concept than an actual experience. To top it off, housekeeping never cleaned our room. Apparently, “Do Not Disturb” was permanently activated—even though we never used it. Fresh towels, trash removal, or basic service? That must be a premium add-on now. Given the overall experience, I’ll likely explore other hotel options the next time I’m in Denver—preferably ones with softer beds, easier parking, and staff who at least pretend to want to help.
Took a short trip to Denver and stayed in this hotel for a few nights. It was comfortable and clean. The downtown location is convenient, and there are several restaurants within walking distance. Room service is swift, and the food is delicious. All staff we encountered are friendly and helpful. I would definitely choose this hotel again!
Not the Hilton experience I expected—definitely not 4-star quality. Pros: close to Union Station for easy travel to and from airport (you don’t need a car if you are just planning to stay downtown) and beds were decently comfortable. Cons: Our first room was hot (set to 75) with no AC option; hallways were freezing and required a coat. Towels were extremely rough and scratchy and we were constantly under-supplied. Cheap toilet paper. Starbucks served cold $10 coffee. Noise was an issue—techno-like music for 12+ hours. Our room phone wasn’t even connected and the front desk didn’t answer calls from my cell; I had to go down in person at 12:30am to ask security to ask the room to turn it down. Hotel feels like it’s cutting corners: broken tub hardware, loose lamp, filthy ceiling tiles. I also had allergic reactions on the 9th floor—swollen eyes, runny nose, sneezing. Housekeeping didn’t adhere to the agreed-upon to deep clean after I reported the allergic reaction and we eventually had to switch rooms. Another guest on our floor reported a leaking fridge when I went to swap keys downstairs. The second room had a smaller bed than booked, thin walls, a broken shower door, and TV broken too—audio out of sync making staying in and watching tv even unenjoyable. We just stayed in the room since I wasn’t allergic to it and it seemed like the entire hotel was off. Pricing in the sundry shop rang up higher than labeled. Staff interactions felt odd. One or two issues would be fine, but the combination was disappointing. If I hadn’t prepaid, I would’ve switched hotels. They offered points to add to my account as a courtesy for the issues, but I would’ve preferred an actually enjoyable stay at the end of the day. Even getting a receipt required follow-up, and we were charged for water that appeared free to Hilton Members—turns out only certain tiers. Luckily we decided to stay downtown but I did look into renting a car which we decided not to because parking is extremely expensive ($64 valet) I booked through Expedia to get a deal on my flight. They had the Hilton at $139/night to get my flight discounted. And I didn’t think twice about having concerns with a 4 star Hilton. This felt like a low-end 3-star at best. I wondered on several occasions if we were being treated to inferior rooms or services due to booking through a third party. I do not recommend staying at this hotel unless you are expecting a 3 star accommodation and get a 3 star price. Include just a few pics—not everything pictured.
My stay at this hotel was outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment I checked in. The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and elegant. I felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout my stay. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort and quality.
I didn’t get the chance to stay in the hotel, this is a review of their event staff. I attended a conference here and all of the amenities offered were great! This is a well oiled machine. Their breakfast was delicious and different every day. They had an excellent set up. Very fluid and good for a group of 200+ all eating breakfast at the same time. They had cold water dispensers and soda fridges with ice and goblets at every turn. They also provided lunch and deserts. A variety of cute desserts I would have never thought of. Their staff is very kind and I was thankful to have them. The bartenders were so interesting to talk to. The whole set up was executed very well.
From the moment we arrived, the Hilton exceeded every expectation. My fiance and I were celebrating our engagement, and the staff went above and beyond to make the occasion truly special. We were upgraded to a stunning room, received a round at the bar, and were even surprised with a bottle of champagne delivered to our suite. Every detail, from the attentive service to the luxurious accommodations, made our stay unforgettable. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough for anyone seeking exceptional hospitality and a memorable experience.
The hotel front desk staff were horrible. Rude, curt, and dismissive on every occasion a question was asked. Said no discounts availed despite what hotel reservation site says. “You already paid” ( an outside booking agent-not true!!) When asked about services (transportation). “We don’t do any of that-you have to get app. Why would I download an app when I’m from the other side of country. I do not trust these sites. Couldn’t even provide a contact number- just app. I have stayed in hotel all across this country and the treatment I received was the worst ever!! Hilton needs to train their staff in hospitality!! Most important in this industry. As a former hotel and restaurant manager I would not tolerate this. I would terminate the employment of the person who checked us in. Also totally train staff in hospitality. Don’t expect a lot from this hotel. Horribly priced as well ! Twice as much as stated in website!!
