The Courtyard by Marriott Denver Cherry Creek is located in a convenient area with nearby restaurants and shopping, offering a comfortable stay with a good reputation. However, recent reviews highlight issues with room cleanliness, parking costs, and inconsistent service, alongside praise for friendly staff and a convenient location. There's a noticeable shift in guest experiences indicating areas needing improvement.
The hotel is in a great location and the staff is friendly. However, [?????? ???????: the room felt a bit dated / it was a bit noisy at night / the breakfast options were limited]. It’s a solid place to stay, but there is some room for improvement in certain areas.
Have travelled a lot. Have been charged at hotels/motels for fancy valet parking and specially parking that has cameras and gated for safety of your items. This arrangement has occurred perhaps 3 -4 times in my lifetime. Typically parking lots are owned by the hotel and the guests are privileged to park there at their peril. This Marriott literally awaits for you to arrive to inform you that you will be charged an additional 16 bucks a day and any damage or theft is on you. You also have to download an app and give more personal info. One can only wonder if this lower price keeps it competitive with online pricing? If someone else owns all the property around the building then that’s pretty sad for Marriott. They do have daily maid service which is good if you need towels, but it’s all we need. Also noticed the maid turns off the air. so room is hot upon arrival. The staff are exceptional. I’d snag each and every one of them up and give em a raise :). Their pool was out of order and mentioned another hotel they had an agreement with that you could go to as a courtesy. I passed but really think they should give a discount when the pools are out. We were here for a friend that was in the hospital. We chose the place because of location and I’ve always had a good experience with Marriott.
I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Denver Cherry Creek during a work trip and this was easily one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in a long time. When I arrived in Denver, work was already chaotic and I checked in late without immediately checking my bank account. Later I discovered the hotel had charged me twice, over $1,000 each time. I didn’t even get back to the hotel until around 3 AM, so I waited until Monday morning (5/18) to speak with management. Instead of helping, the assistant manager was dismissive and rude from the start. She kept blaming their “system” and insisting it only showed one charge, even while I was literally showing her my bank account with two separate charges posted. She refused to seriously look into it or acknowledge the issue. I then asked to speak with the general manager and was told she was “busy on the phone.” No urgency, no accountability, no customer service. To make things worse, this hotel charges $15 per night just to park. I was there for work driving a company truck and ended up spending over $60 just for parking while already dealing with the double charge issue tying up my money. The biggest disappointment for me personally was finding out the gym was under renovation. After long stressful work nights, working out is one of the main ways I decompress and reset mentally. Had I known the gym was unavailable, I honestly would have booked somewhere else. The entire situation impacted my trip. Instead of enjoying my downtime in Denver, I spent the week stressed over billing issues, extra fees, and poor customer service. For a Marriott property, this experience was unacceptable. Terrible management, poor communication, hidden costs, and zero empathy when a guest is dealing with a serious financial issue. I would not stay here again.
A good location. There are restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The Cherry Creek shopping and tons of restaurants area is a quick 6 minute drive. The bathroom in our room is small. The room overall is comfortable. Parking is $16 per day.
Location was good! Some reviewers said sketchy, but the area was fine, lots of food choices, near shopping and other stuff. Stinks it costs, but the area was fine. Lobby and staff: nice and everyone was very nice. We were greeted every time we came in. Rooms: okay. We got a 2 bed suite with pull out couch. It was spacious and had a nice wet bar, but dated and furniture worn. Mini fridge, sink, countertop. Maybe a microwave, can't remember. Beds were hard, but sleepable. The biggest downside was the bathroom. Quite small and only 7 ft ceiling. The shower was nice, but a couple inches up, so if you're tall, head is close the ceiling. There was no smell in the room, but the halls can have a smell. In all, I'd stay again. The majority of the issues need to be handled by Marriott (like a remodel). The management there seems to be doing fine with what they have.
Nice vibes – we would stay here again. Beautiful Views of the City & Rockies! Super nice staff. Stately traditional high-rise in fantastic location with modern touches such as recycling bins, shower product dispensers, and restaurant with lots of great food and coffee. Three elevators (yay!) Rooms are carpeted with microwaves and mini fridge. We had a shower only – no tub. Our room could have used more electrical outlets near the bed & lacked a luggage stand. Hotel parking was $15/night & required keying a credit card into their parking app.
I made a reservation here at the last minute and was welcomed and found a reservation easily. I was very upset and tired when I arrived after a very rough day. The receptionist was nice but it was the desk supervisor, Tre James, that made all the difference in the world to me. He was compassionate and caring and so helpful. At one point I couldn't keep it together and he just handled everything so respectfully and kind. I can't thank him enough and would highly recommend staying at this very nice hotel. The added benefit of having a restaurant and Starbucks right there is beyond helpful especially when you're a bit stressed.
This is my second time staying here. The location and price is a much better deal than the tech center imo. I had a really messy reservation from a rushed trip that was a headache for the front desk but they all worked with me. The supervisor Tre was very understanding and patient with my complicated reservation and discount which they helped me sort out and honored. The restaraunt in the lobby is also solid for the price. Will return
Such a great place to stay! The rooms were spacious and well-equipped with everything necessary for comfort. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant visit. I would definitely choose this hotel again in the future.
Stayed 4 nights and was told housekeeping would be every other day. It never happened and each time I checked with the front desk I was given a different excuse. That was an inconvenience - but was prompted the review was the management's approach to customer service. I was asked to write a good review and told them why I wouldn't. They offered to comp me 10K Marriott Bonvoy points. I said "yes" but it didn't happen so I filed a customer service feedback form with Marriott. Turns out they pass that to the hotel to address - and suddenly their willingness to compensate me for poor service vanished. They seem more concerned with reviews than actually doing their job.
