Great location! The service was amazing, the staff was very accommodating to our every need. Historic hotel with some many unique things but updated to fit our needs.

We had a nice stay. The bathroom had some hair that did not belong to us. There was a shooting out our window and quite a few police. That's not on the hotel, but worth being aware where you are. The breakfast looked good, but we just loaded up on coffee.

The Oxford Hotel has a lot going for it. The location is convenient, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the included perks, like the bourbon tasting, were a nice touch that made the stay feel a little more special. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by the noise and the surrounding area. The windows don’t seem to seal well, so outside noise comes through very clearly. We were awoken in the middle of the night by extremely loud music that literally shook the room. While still trying to fall asleep, we heard gunshots on the street below, right next to our room. The incident resulted in two people being injured, and while that’s obviously beyond the hotel’s control, the lack of sound insulation made the situation even more unsettling. We had booked the hotel for a romantic getaway, but the constant noise and overnight violence outside made it anything but relaxing. The hotel itself has many positives, but based on our experience, we wouldn’t choose it again for a quiet or romantic stay.

The Oxford Hotel is a delightful LoDo find. We met friends here and their first question was “how did you find this place?” The location is hard to beat—right by Union Station, so you can park once and walk everywhere. Within a block are excellent options: ramen, a Brazilian steakhouse, and seafood, plus the 16th Street Mall is just down the street. The hotel itself has genuine charm. The Cruise Room off the lobby is a classic 1930s Art Deco bar and feels authentic rather than themed. Every staff member we encountered was pleasant and helpful. I also appreciated that they still provide daily room cleaning as standard service; many hotels have moved away from that. They offer a local shuttle as well, which helps in LoDo where light rail doesn’t reach every destination. Overall, The Oxford combines character, walkability, and attentive service—an easy choice if you want a distinctive Denver stay instead of a generic chain.

Amazingly cozy hotel and for those who appreciate history and quality this is the place! Located in the middle of LoDo with tons to do just within walking distance. Or you can have a relaxing time at the spa and have a delicious dinner at The Urban Farmer and call it a night early! The world is your oyster here!

My daughter and her boyfriend booked a room for New Year’s Eve. They both got the flu and couldn’t use the room. The hotel would not give them a refund or a credit. Okay. My wife and I decided to use the room, so the room and the money would not be wasted. The stay was fine. About an hour after we checked out, I realized I left my headphones in the room. I called the hotel, and they said they would check with housekeeping and let me know if they found them. I waited a few hours and called back. They said they were still waiting to hear from housekeeping. I waited until late afternoon the next day and called again. Same response. It is now three days later and I have yet to receive a call regarding whether they found them or not. They were not expensive so it is not a big deal monetarily, but the lack of response is. I work in the hospitality industry as well, and, if I had received a call about a missing item an hour after someone checked out, I would just go up to the room or send someone up there to check and call the guest back immediately. Obviously this did not happen. They also charged my credit card $284 on top of what my daughter paid for the room. I asked about the charge, and they said it was for the cancellation even though the reservation was never cancelled. They said most of that amount would be refunded to me except for about $80 for lodging fees, taxes, etc. I was surprised that was not charged at the time of the room payments. They said this was standard operating procedure. The charge is still there. The Oxford is a lovely hotel that we’ve stayed at before. I am disappointed by the customer service I’ve received after our latest stay. Update: It looks like they’re finally removing the additional charges. Still no contact from hotel.

Exquisite hotel staffed by ‘yeah…whatever’ front desk. We stayed 3 nights. Not once did they service the room at all in spite of specifically asking at the desk each morning. Only when I raised hell at 6:30 pm on night 3 did they bother to send up towels. Be prepared to do everything you do at home when you stay here.

Well, the Oxford has officially joined the ever growing list of downtown Denver businesses and hotels that prioritize profit above hospitality. It is a shame to see how far this historic turn of the century titan has fallen. Eisenhower would be shamed to see what his beloved hotel has become. Unfortunately it is now yet another Denver tourist trap gouging patrons wallets in return for a subpar experience. My wife and I have been staycationing at the Oxford for over a decade, and I have stayed here myself at least twice a year since 2003, and I live here. That is how much I loved the Oxford. I own a tourism business here in Denver and have been recommending the Oxford and Cruise Room to all my guests for many years. Unfortunately, I can no longer in good conscious continue to do so. I think the management needs to take a hard look at their business model. I'm genuinely saddened to see the Oxford take this turn. It truly was one of the few remaining Denver icons. I guess now that Denver has become such a popular tourist destination, customer service is no longer a priority for the patrons that have supported them for decades. Denver now belongs to Vail resorts, Meow Wolfish tourist traps, Pretentious overpriced restaurants and elitist hotels that care nothing for the customer as long as they open their wallets. This will be my last time staying at the Oxford.

We loved our stay at the Oxford Hotel in Denver. The setting was cozy and decorated for Christmas. The staff was amazing! The central location was perfect. We will definitely go back the next time we are in Denver.
