Urban Cowboy Denver offers a uniquely themed and luxurious stay in a beautifully restored Victorian cottage, blending old-west charm with modern comforts. Guests consistently praise the exceptional service, cozy rooms, and convenient downtown location, particularly highlighting the bar and its atmosphere. While some minor concerns have been raised, the overwhelming feedback indicates a highly desirable and memorable experience.
I have been to downtown Denver many times in the past decade and have stayed in many hotels there (including quarantining in one for five days in the earlier days of the COvID-19 pandemic). This place is different than any of the other places, and in a very cool way. It’s an old, restored Victorian cottage style place with very comfortable rooms that are like having a room in a Victorian mansion in the old west. The location is great for access to all of downtown Denver, from convention center to government offices and LoDo’s night scene. But the rooms and location aren’t why I Love this place… from the beginning the service was what really stood out. Surprisingly I never met anyone face to face! I arrived after midnite and was gone in the AM early. The system they have is dialed though, from passcode entry to secure lockbox for room keys and a nice coffee bar 24/7. I wish I’d have stayed longer! The clincher is when I left a fave shirt hanging in the room… I realized it too late (flying home from DEN, maybe not my favorite airport), but I simply texted with them and they again had a solution dialed immediately. No ‘let me send you to housekeeping’ or shuffle around. Great experience.
I absolutely loved my stay at Urban Cowboy. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay this is it. The staff was amazing and they offered a drink when I arrived which was a nice touch. Everything in this place is stunning!! It is great how they kept the original charm of the place and did a good job with sourcing everything for the interior decor. Not to mention they have a lovely bar & restaurant on-site called Public House. The food was delicious and I loved sitting outside by the fire pits. The beds were comfortable, bathroom was great, and last but not least the tub is a dream. My night here was exactly what I needed. Whether you are visiting Denver because it is in a great location close to Denver city center or wanting to do a staycation I 10/10 recommend
11/10. Their thoughtfulness and attention to every detail is impressive. Everything is very well curated, from the robes to the mini bar offerings to the water station drink-ware. It’s super cozy and they make it feel luxurious and high end yet accessible and fun at the same time. Especially in Denver, you would expect a place like this to take themselves too seriously and give a snobbish vibe, but not at all. Perfect for a romantic night away from the toddler. We didn’t make it to the Public House, but there will definitely “be a next time.” We loved suite 16, but will request #4 next time. Hope to check each room off the list eventually.
I was killing time today since my Professor in class ditched out. I have about an hour and a half until church service nearby for Lent. Naturally I figured I'd grab a old fashioned while I wait. I've lived in Denver my whole life , and i've never noticed the Urban Cowboy! I'm a history major so this bar is right up my alley, not to mention I like bourbon. I had the PH Old Fashioned; which was outstanding! The decor and the atmosphere is top notch, that's what I really liked. I like to have a drink at the bar at the Buckhorn Exchange, but the Urban Cowboy will definitely be on my rotation! ...One suggestion, put a brass bar below the bar seats. It's kind of pain to sit as it is, the seats are a little high up, the seats are a little high and a brass bar would be sweet and traditional.
We recently got married in Denver and chose to buy out the rooms at Urban Cowboy for us, our close family, and wedding party. The hotel is so amazing - it was such a fun and unique place to stay. Nicole was our main point of contact for our weekend event and helped us coordinate/book the room accommodations for our guests and also book our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks event at their bar next door. She and her team went above and beyond to ensure that everything went smoothly and even added some surprise custom touches, which was so special for us. All staff members, bartenders, and servers did an amazing job and we couldn't have been happier with how the weekend turned out.
This place is stunning!! Truly a gem. Coco was a rockstar with our reservation. We are so excited for our next stay here. Highly recommend. This is a beautiful spot!!
Such an incredible stay, will definitely be back! I love a unique boutique hotel, and this has to be one of the coolest I’ve stayed in. The room was so cozy and cute and the bed was so comfy! The bathtubs are huge, and they have a great selection of bath products in the room mini bar. The whole staff was so welcoming and helpful. Great food and drinks at the connected bar/restaurant. Thanks for a great trip to Denver!
It was so absolutely amazing to stay here, my trip was a short one but this is a hotel worth staying in for more than just a night! I stayed in the king suite (#2), one of the first things that stands out is how unique and awesome the decor all throughout the hotel and rooms are. Nicole helped me when I showed up and gave me a tour of everything in the building and was so kind and helpful. The Parlor downstairs was always playing good music and getting to the museums, cafes, parks etc. by foot is super convenient with the location. They were very accommodating for my check-in needs as well and they make it easy to access coming back in later in the night. The self-serve coffee bar also had a lovely and generous selection! I definitely can't wait to come back and this is easily one of the coolest places I've ever stayed! - Soleil S.
Room #9: We loved our stay at Urban Cowboy Denver! Even though the rooms are close quarters, the noise was surprisingly minimal and we slept wonderfully both nights. The decor is absolutely one of a kind — every corner has something new and beautiful to discover. The brass tub (big enough for two!) was such a fun and relaxing highlight. This was the perfect stay for our two nights in the city — and the pizza next door is 10/10! Thanks for the hospitality!
We absolutely loved our time at the Urban Cowboy Denver. From the sweetest customer service to every detail of comfort, it was an amazing experience. We can't wait to stay again in the future for more than one night!
