The Hyatt Place Pena Station is a generally well-regarded airport hotel with convenient shuttle service and a modern design. Recent reviews highlight a friendly staff and comfortable rooms, particularly praising the breakfast and bar area. However, issues have been raised regarding inconsistent service, construction, and unexpected fees, impacting the overall guest experience.

What an amazing week long stay! Every year we travel to the Aurora area to stay near my sons annual wheelchair sports camp. Check in was easy. The room was clean, roomy and comfortable, only 1 door wasnt accessible in the room as it was too heavy. The bed was super comfy. Breakfast was so yummy: huge sausages and pancake donut balls! We had dinner in the bar area, I loved the crab cakes so much I came back again in the same week. My daughter loved the steak and French fries. Tucker was an amazing bartender even remembered my name. Daniel was very friendly as well. The indoor pool was clean, felt refreshing and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed it. All the employees always had a smile on their face and seemed to enjoy their jobs, even when dealing with the difficult public.......must be good management.

Nice new hotel thats not as beat down as Hyatt House on other side of tower road. Very well appointment art filled lobby. The room was nice and air fan stayed on. Thus, 1st Hyatt hotel that was was quite even close to the airport that I reviewed in a long time. Almost 5 star hotel but had a few issues. 1. Toilet plunger got stuck and had to giggle handle to stop drying water. 2. No uce maker on top floor but floor below had really nice crushed ice maker. 3. My elliptical had the cover fall off going really slow at 65 RPM. The second one worked correctly. 4. Of thousands of hotels review this is first one with key code you had to punch in instead of using room key. This was a real pain to use. The key method is much simpler and faster access. I did not get to breakfast but will evaluate this at future date. Overall my favorite Hyatt DIA airport hotel so far.

Excellent room and service. Great location and for an airport hotel there were a TON of places to eat nearby. The free shuttle was quick and easy. Even the complimentary breakfast was great. How can you go wrong with freshly made waffles?? Let's Go!!!!

Note- updated review after 2nd night… overall 4 star location & restaurant. The 1 star review is for the restaurant’s steak on the menu- and although the menu made this USDA 8oz steak seared with rosemary and garlic sound amazing- it absolutely was not! The steak was about 1/4 inch thick - no rosemary or garlic flavor- it should have been sent back … the accompanying asparagus was good- the fries cold. Worst meal I’ve paid for in a while- I was warned by the bartender- he was GREAT btw! I should have listened- $30 waste of money! Don’t order the steak! Was with a business partner- forgot to grab a few pictures. My second night’s dinner was much better- and hotel breakfast was yummy! Love the $5 beer, wine and drinks for Happy hour 4:30-6:3 A great variety of breakfast options, the hotel itself self is beautifully decorated and the room was comfortable and clean. I was in an even side room and there was some highway road noise- if you like this you’ll do great- if not- it’s a bit annoying.

This hotel unfortunately does not meet all the expectations it sets out to, and I would never stay here again. So many “small” issues that add up to an uncomfortable and disappointing stay. To start, the hotel failed to communicate that the pickup point for the airport shuttle has changed due to construction, so I couldn’t find the shuttle at first. Thankfully it’s a short walk to the correct loading zone, but the lack of communication is disrespectful and unprofessional. Hyatt is a large name in hotels. You will not convince me that they couldn’t have sent new pick up details in the “check-in” email. One employee explained to me that they didn’t change the instructions on the website because by the time corporate approves changes to the website the construction will be done. That’s not very re-assuring to someone whose flight got delayed, and almost missed the shuttle due to the lack of communication. Other issues: -elevator requires you to tap your key to hit the buttons. Mine always took 3-4 tries before it would accept my room key. -elevator floor is also very cracked/damaged -fridge did not get cold or keep drinks cold by any means. It was set to max cool, but all my drinks were barely cooler than room temp. -AC/thermostat did not work correctly. I set the temp to 65 at one point trying to cool the room down, but I woke up sweating. I also tried to keep the thermostat low during the day, and returned to find it had been changed to 72 while I was gone. Either housekeeping changed it, or it’s set to auto adjust at a certain time. Either way is not okay in my opinion. If I’m paying for the room, no one else should have control of the thermostat. -water pressure is basically non-existent. You might as well be getting drizzled on in there. -TV remote is a pain!! It would take me pushing a button 4-5 times, and waiting 1-3 minutes in between pushing buttons to get a show on. For whatever reason I couldn’t consecutively push the buttons, like for typing in a show name. The remote would flash, but wouldn’t show any changes on the TV screen. Overall, a very big disappointment. I would recommend staying somewhere else due to the overwhelming amount of issues I experienced. The only few good things about this hotel are the location to the transport station, and the staff running the airport shuttle. Location still isn’t great, though. It’s a 20 minute walk to the nearest restaurant, and a 20-30 minute drive to actual downtown Denver.

Booked here thinking it was a few dollars cheaper than other nearby places only to find out that they gouge you on overnight parking fees. $17/might even though they’re own information displayed in the room says $9/night. Both not ideal but when I called the front desk to ask what was going on with the pricing they didn’t even apologize they just said they’d need to get someone to update the room information. It’s digital display on the tv, I doubt it’ll get updated. My buddy said I should stay at Hyatt instead of my usual Marriott, I should have stuck with my gut.

Very disappointed, needed a place to stay for less than 12 hours and was still required to pay for parking. I don’t know when hotels became so comfortable charging extra for parking as if they’re not charging enough for their BS fees. Also if i’m paying so much - WHY IS THERE NO BATHROOM DOOR ??? once again why are hotels skimping out on basic designs. I’m sorry I don’t want my bathroom air mixing with my bed room air. The “door” would not lock and actively opened as I used the bathroom. I’ve stayed at motel 6s nicer than this.

Hotel was nice but I had a terrible experience with being overcharged. I requested a late checkout. Their normal check out is 12:00 and the person at the front desk said as long as I checked out by 1:00 that there would be no additional charge. I had to leave the hotel on the airport shuttle at 1:00 anyways, so that worked perfectly for me. When I saw the extra nearly $ 90 charge on my credit card I called and they told me that housekeeping said I was there past 2:00 which was impossible because I was at the airport by that point. This can be easily verified by hotel cameras (and my name was on the 1:00 shuttle log) but the woman I spoke to on the phone told me that she could do nothing about it and it was very clear she didn’t care. She told me I could call back another day. Even though the facilities were nice, I would not recommend this hotel to anybody I care about.

Outside of the Westin connected to the terminal, this is my preferred airport hotel at DIA - certainly at a reasonable price point bs Westin. Both van shuttle and train service (~5min walk) to get back/forth to airport. Also this is an upscale Hyatt Place - restaurant and bar have a very nice food and bev menu. Breakfast was standard. Front desk v friendly. Rooms/hallways quiet.

My bf treat for Valentine weekend is this trip! Excellent location with free airport shuttle. Hotel room was nice, bathroom sink somewhat clogged and disappointing but we were hardly in the room so it worked fine. Huge space. Reception was great. They had this scope and when you looked Into the different wall tv frames it showed a “story”. Breakfast was good. The happy hour flat bread was my favorite part of the stay lol.
