Consistent praise for the location and shuttle service caters heavily to medical visitors, while general cleanliness and room maintenance fluctuate significantly. Although staff kindness is frequently noted, several recent reviews highlight significant operational failures regarding water, noise volume, and front desk hostility.
I’ve stayed at SpringHill Suites in Denver a few times, and it’s always a great option for a short stay. Whether it’s just for one night or a couple of days, it’s consistently comfortable and reliable. The rooms are clean, well maintained, and spacious enough to relax after a long day. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, which makes the whole experience smooth from check-in to check-out. The location is also very convenient, making it easy to get around the city, and the overall value for the price is very good. It’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay in Denver with great service.
We stayed here due to the location of the hospital February 9-14. Our first room did not have water running to the toilet. I checked the valve to make sure it wasn’t shut off but still no water. The front desk was apologetic and had us move to a room down the hall. After moving rooms I went to get an adult beverage at the bar where there was one person sitting at the bar eating. Come to find out she was the bartender. Earlier I saw her, thought she was a guest, as she was getting buckets of ice from the ice machine down the hallway. So apparently the bar does not have its own ice nor issue with employees eating at the bar while working. Taking that all in I decided against having a cocktail. In that second room we found a pile of small animal feces (like a ferret or something) on the floor in the corner of the sofa and floor lamp right before we were headed to bed late that same night. So we told the front desk first thing the next morning and we were ‘upgraded’ to a room on the top floor. I say ‘upgraded’ because the room was exactly the same as the previous two rooms except for having water to the toilet, no animal feces, and a smaller closet. To top it off when we were moved to this 3rd room we asked for two bottles of water and those two bottles were quickly added to our bill. The breakfast included in the stay has a great staff but less than standard food offerings. Overall, a disappointing stay. The Hyatt down the street, an easier walk to the hospital, was a much nicer stay the two weeks prior.
We have been coming to this location for several years now to be close to the hospital. The rooms are perfect, clean, and comfortable. I want to highlight that the staff has always been so kind and wonderful to me and my son. On a recent trip we accidentally left behind some charging cords, and when we came back two weeks later they were in our room when we checked in. Thank you so much for always making our stays perfect!
Great option when traveling and having appointments at the hospital. I’m currently on my third stay here. The woman working the front desk during the day is always sweet and goes above and beyond. The rooms are incredibly spacious and clean; plus the location is great with many food options within a short walking distance or their shuttle (shout out to Frank the driver, he’s awesome!) The rest of the staff is also great. I will likely be back for a forth stay soon!
I stayed at this SpringHill Suites for 13 nights while my wife was hospitalized nearby. I chose this property purely for its proximity to the hospital, not for comfort or amenities—and unfortunately, it showed. This is clearly the oldest hotel in the area. The furniture throughout the room was dated, with visible wear and stains. The bed was hard and lumpy, making it difficult to get restful sleep during an already stressful time. The bathroom and shower took several minutes for hot water to come through, which was extremely inconvenient, especially when trying to get out quickly. Breakfast was the standard hotel offering—nothing special—but I will say the dining room staff were friendly and helpful, which was appreciated. Cleanliness and attention to detail were inconsistent. After a windy night, the front desk area floor was covered with leaves the next morning. They remained there until after noon. When I mentioned it to the front desk clerk (somewhat sarcastically, admittedly), there was no reaction or acknowledgment. The in-room TV was another major frustration. Netflix was available, but the volume was capped so low that I had to be within about a foot of the TV to hear anything. A house technician came to the room and admitted he had personally installed the TVs and intentionally limited the volume to avoid damaging the speakers. Even after agreeing that the volume was unacceptably low, he refused to adjust it. To make matters worse, a local organization sent $250 to help cover our hotel costs during this difficult time. The hotel refused to apply it, stating they were billing the full amount to our credit card instead. We still don’t know where the $250 went! When my wife go out of the hospital she was taken to our hotel. She stepped out to see the Christmas lights and she tripped and fell on her face breaking two teeth and braking bones in her hand. The management completed an incident report. Our lawyer is looking into this. Overall, this property felt outdated, poorly managed, and lacking basic flexibility or empathy—especially for guests staying under difficult circumstances. I would not choose this location again unless proximity was the only factor that mattered.
We chose this location as it is close to the Anschutz complex and has a shuttle over there every 30 minutes. Service fast, Frank friendly. Entire Hotel neat as a pin and modernized. Room great. Bed poofy and ready. In room 205 the shower door handle is loose on the inside. Didn't get to try the bar but it looked well stocked. Breakfast on time, hot, and restocked quickly. Price point great. Staff friendly and efficient. We are so very glad a reasonable and comfortable place is close to this hospital. You could do well to seek out a relationship with Panera. They frequently partner up with other businesses to promote their own. Just a thought.
I had an excellent stay at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Denver Airport. The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable — exactly what you want after a long travel day. The shuttle service runs smoothly and reliably, making airport transfers incredibly easy. The front desk staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. But the real standout was Lisa, the wonderful lady who serves breakfast each morning. She brings such kindness, energy, and care to her work, and she made every morning feel brighter. She’s a true asset to the hotel. Highly recommend this property for convenience, comfort, and outstanding hospitality.
I stayed here for weeks when my daughter was in Children’s Hospital and it was okay, but not great on cleanliness of common areas. I stopped in after I was in the ER recently and it was too late to drive home. Zero hospitality from the front desk young man. I asked if there were any rooms at about 11:55 pm and he said no. I had just seen rooms available online, but okay. Maybe it was wrong. I needed to use my computer for just a minute to submit some taxes online for my business that I had been unable to do because I had been in the ER, and I had already brought my bags, thinking there would be a room. I asked if I could sit for a minute. They had a million sofas and chairs in the reception area and NOBODY there. He said, “We don’t have a waiting area.” So, I ended up going back out to my car to get that done awkwardly. Never staying there again. His tone was rude. It would not have done any damage to let me take care of what I needed to do for 2 minutes when I went there anticipating a room. When I did go back online, it was past midnight, so I could not try to see if Marriott’s website still said they had rooms. I have been a Bonvoy member for many years, but I will start looking for a different hotel chain to frequent. I ended up at the nearby Hyatt, where the front desk staff was very nice.
My husband and I went the the Aurora Springhill Suites that is on Colfax across the street from the UHC Anschutz Medical Campus on October 25, 2025. The location was great we were there to attend a funeral. And the mortuary was 5 minutes away. However the service was horrible from the moment we checked in. The man that checked us in was the rudest front desk agent I have encountered. I don't know if he was having a bad day but customer service is not his strong suit. I wanted to leave but my mate was tired and just wanted to lay down. So against my better judgement we checked in and went up to our room. Tried to shower and the water was cold for the whole night. So we weren't able to shower until we left and got another room down the street the street the next morning. We also tried to call room service and it took 8 calls for him to actually answer. We asked for a clean fitted sheet because the one on the bed was stained and we needed some folks. Tell me way he said with an attitude that we need to come downstairs and get it ourselves. In which I have need been treated like that in a nice $180.00 a room. That was just crazy to me. When we get down to the front desk he is sitting there having an non-job related conversation with the security guard. He just place the items we were told to come get ourselves on the front desk counter. He did even have the decency to hand us the stuff. So we just dealt with the craziness for the night. In the morning I left my number for the supervisor to call me and I still haven't heard from them. Called today and the nice young lady on the other end informed me that they don't have a corp number and that I left my number with the manager. Which is crazy work. I'm very disappointed and dissatisfied with the entire stay.
Clean & modern appearance, friendly & helpful employees, comfy bedding & yummy breakfast!! All for a good price!! I will be back for sure. I look fwd to staying here again. The pic I uploaded was taken from the South Parking Lot of the V.A. You can walk (or take their Free Shuttle) to your medical appt - Springhill is literally across the street!
