The Hyatt Place Denver/Cherry Creek offers a convenient and generally comfortable stay in a central location, appreciated for its ease of parking and friendly staff. However, recent reviews highlight cleanliness concerns, outdated room features, and inconsistent service experiences, particularly regarding breakfast and parking fees.
Rooms could use a deep clean and some upgrades but overall not bad, and good size room. All the staff we encountered were great! Brandon at the front desk was so helpful and friendly at check in and later in the evening at the bar. Parking in their lot is super easy and we got a deal that parking was free with the room. The parking was important to us after reading so many reviews about bad parking in the downtown area. This hotel is centrally located which was easy for our stay. Good hot breakfast with limited Starbucks drinks as well.
The hotel is located in a decent spot of town, with breakfast offered daily. Right off Colorado blvd, not too far from target & other shopping spots(although you will definitely need a car to get to them). The room was good, only flaw is the ac wasn't blowing cold air. After asking the front desk & looking online it states that the hotel controls the temp for the building. So when it warmed up in the room, the ac did very little, other than blow air to circulate it. If I were visiting during the warmer months I'd def take that into account. Also parking is not free, for those wondering, & the garage/structure parking is not for guests. They charge about $20 a night & is enforced by PMC. Look them up on reddit if wonder how that might play out. TLDR: good spot of town, def need a car to get anywhere, parking is not free, & hotel room ac doesn't work well
Attending a conference downtown, I had hoped to stay at a hotel near the convention center. My office had other plans and booked me at the Hyatt Place Cherry Creek. So even though I wasn’t looking forward to it, it actually worked out pretty well! It’s a standard hotel — nothing particularly fancy or, alternatively, bad. I appreciated that there is a 7-11 across the street, which I visited twice for drinks and snacks. Handy! I also walked to dinner — Viale Pizza — and enjoyed it very much. (I’ll review it separately.). The staff was kind; the area was quiet; I slept well. I would definitively stay at this hotel again.
I booked Hyatt Place expecting a solid 4-star experience, but unfortunately it felt closer to a 2.5 at best. The building is clearly very old, and it shows everywhere — dated furniture, worn-out carpets, and an overall tired look that really needs renovation. Cleanliness was the biggest disappointment. The bedding and towels were not just worn, but visibly stained, which is unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one under the Hyatt name. It didn’t feel like the linens had been properly replaced or inspected between guests. The carpet was also dirty, and the bathroom grout looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. To make things worse, there was a pink liquid residue on the sides of the toilet, which was honestly unsettling and made me question the overall hygiene standards. Breakfast was another letdown. For a Hyatt property, I expected better, but the spread was very mediocre with limited and uninspiring options. Overall, this hotel does not live up to its 4-star rating or the Hyatt brand name. With serious attention to cleanliness, maintenance, and updates, it could improve — but in its current condition, it’s hard to recommend.
Trust me, stay here. I have travelled all over the US. Sure, I have stayed in "nicer" hotels before but I would pick this place over them. The entire staff from the food and beverage to the front desk to security were just awesome. If you would like a relaxing, refreshing place to stay consider this for some solitude. Me and my new fiancé were traveling and both agreed this was the best hotel experience we have ever had, ever. Thank you to your team for an enjoyable experience. We will certainly be back. Nice rooms, staff is friendly. Location is great for business travelers and those visiting the area. About 15 minutes to downtown, 40 to castle rock and just over an hour to the springs or boulder. Breakfast is decent. Parking lot is shady but they have a full time security guy. Management should consider installing some additional lighting in the parking lot for sure.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I booked this hotel for around $100/night, but I ended up being really pleasantly surprised. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and well-kept, and our room was comfortable and in great condition. The bed was cozy, and even the fold-out couch was better than expected—rare for hotel sofa beds! One of the highlights was the complimentary breakfast. There were plenty of hot, fresh options, and everything tasted great. The French toast was perfect—flavorful but not overloaded with cinnamon, which made my kid especially happy. All the staff we interacted with during the stay were kind, welcoming, and helpful. The hotel also has a cute courtyard area and a small dog relief area, which was nice to see since there were lots of adorable, well-behaved dogs around the property. I originally chose this hotel because it’s close to where my kid lives, but after such a comfortable stay, it’s definitely where I plan to book for future visits. Great value, great location, and a really solid experience overall.
This was the nicest hotel we stayed in on our last night in Colorado. We got a room on the upper floors facing the mountains. Disappointingly, the windows were filthy and marred the view. The walls were kind of thin and we could hear the snores of the guy next door. There's a sign on the front desk that said the parking was $15 a night, but I don't think we were ever charged. The bedding was comfortable, the water pressure was good in the shower. The complementary breakfast was very good. The staff was pleasant and helpful. There's a dispensary within walking distance but no smoking in the entire building.
I just want to give a huge thank you to Sherry at the front desk. She was so kind and caring from the moment I arrived. I told her I was in town to take care of my cousin who’s in the ICU, and she went above and beyond — upgraded me to a beautiful room with a mountain view, gave me parking and breakfast vouchers, and treated me with such compassion. In the middle of everything going on in the world, meeting someone like Sherry reminded me that there are still truly good people out there. Her kindness meant more to me than she probably knows. I’ll always be grateful for how she made a really hard trip a little easier.
This is my 3rd stay at this property and it was as good as it gets. The room is clean and comfy. The breakfast is served as early as 6.30 in the morning which was very convenient. There are few eat outs at walkable distance which were added benefits for a traveller like me.
