The Benson Hotel & Faculty Club receives generally positive reviews, highlighting its beautiful design, comfortable rooms, and convenient location near the hospital. However, some guests report inconsistent service, particularly regarding valet parking and front desk responsiveness, alongside occasional issues with room amenities.
The Usual built to look fancy and luxurious, spend a week here and it all goes away pretty fast. At a closer look The building is basically held together by hopes and dreams The Staff seems to have some underlying drama most likely caused by disorganization if i were to guess from what i could hear, that made my experience slightly uncomfortable, nonetheless the service was good.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and the exceptional service provided by the staff. The team was well-organized and prepared, which made my experience truly memorable. It’s unfortunate to see our beloved chef depart, but I have faith that they can maintain this high standard of service as they welcome new staff members.
Had lunch here and was greeted by Veronica. She was fantastic! She did a great job with recommendations and explained the menu very well. She was also very personable and service oriented. Highly recommended.
The Benson is the best place to stay if you’re searching for a quiet space close to the hospital. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is super accommodating. Patrice was especially helpful, and the entire staff were incredibly kind. I can’t speak highly enough about their hospitality. I also appreciate the art and having a restaurant and bar on-site. Valet parking is available, and self-parking across the street was $20 per day.
The hotel is gorgeous but the service is not what one would encounter at most hotels of this caliber. When we couldn’t get the valet phone number to work, and I called the front desk, they seemed put out that i couldn’t contact valet directly. There was some deep sighing on their end. And when I requested to pay for an extended checkout, I was initially told “yes”. But then got corrected to “no” by the manager. I don’t think she knew I could hear her tone, but I could. The front desk agent was very apologetic, but it was a sour experience. I wasn’t asking for a *free* room, I wanted to pay the extra. There is actually signage in the room saying you can request this as an option. Also, no one asked how our stay was when I checked out. So that was in line with the rest of the stay. The rooms themselves are gorgeous and the hotel is beautiful. Their restaurant is also delicious. We ate there twice. The valet gentleman was very good, and took excellent care of our car.
I absolutely LOVE this hotel!!!! It is so beautiful and everything was beautifully appointed!!! The artwork was just breathtaking!! The staff is incredible especially Amanda and MJ. At 4:30 in the morning, they were so kind to me even took me on a tour and let me tell you it was spectacular. No expense was spared. The owner of this Hotel did an outstanding job. I stayed here this past weekend but I frequently visit The Benson for leisure and it was STUNNING. The food at The Common Good is delicious! I’ve gone for breakfast, lunch and dinner and everything is always so appetizing! This is the best hidden gem in Aurora!
The Benson Hotel truly became a home away from home while my son was in treatment at Children's Colorado Hospital. I don't know how to properly express gratitude for the kindness and support that they offered during this very difficult time. The management (Meredith and Brenna) were so helpful in making reservations for me to get me into a room that I could stay in through the duration of my son's treatment. Tyshea helped me track down an Amazon package that got delivered to the wrong building. Asha and Fern greeted me each morning, asking how my son was doing. Every staff member that we interacted with was so kind and thoughtful. The hotel suites are beautifully appointed and spacious, the bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of storage for our extended stay. The restaurant and bar were excellent, and I loved sitting in front of the big fireplaces in the lobby. It was easy to walk to and from the hospital - we also used Uber/Lyft quite a bit since my son wasn't allowed to walk. On one particularly difficult day, the staff noticed I was in tears and sent a bottle of wine to my room. A lovely hotel with people with truly wonderful hearts. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking care of us so well.
While the hotel itself is clean, nice and well-appointed, the service was a major letdown. Front desk staff, both shifts, were unhelpful and downright arrogant. The “complimentary” parking is a joke—after struggling with a broken QR code for 20 minutes, I was forced to pay for valet. Plus, the parking lot is a 10-minute walk away, something they fail to mention at booking. There’s also a sliding restroom door with a huge gap—no privacy at all. On top of that, I had issues with the internet and was given zero assistance. It’s a shame because the hotel has potential, but the poor service and lack of basic amenities left a bad taste.
great location! the bed was HUGE and was so soft! best sleep ever. staff was amazing, i stayed for a family members wedding and everyone was so nice and helpful consistently ! would 100% stay again
