The Westin Denver International Airport Hotel redefines the travel experience with its sleek architecture and tranquil atmosphere. Designed to soothe and inspire, the space blends refined comfort with an unmistakable sense of place. Guests are welcomed into an environment where contemporary elegance meets thoughtful service at every turn. Whether arriving or departing, the experience is both effortless and elevated.
The Westin Denver International Airport offers unparalleled convenience for travelers, boasting a prime location directly connected to the terminal. However, recent reviews highlight significant concerns regarding inconsistent service, elevated pricing, and, alarmingly, cleanliness issues, including unsanitary conditions in rooms. Despite some positive feedback on room comfort and the hotel's amenities, problems persist.
My wife was hesitant to stay in the hotel and voiced she could stay in the terminal overnight until her flight in the am. For $500+ a night you might get a chance you will walk into a dirty room. I had higher expectations for Westin however, those are out the window with this experience. I received a call immediately from her proving why she’s hesitant about staying in hotels. A fresh pubic hair and fecal matter on the toilet seat. Shouldn’t this be one of the things they would make sure is clean? I’d be hesitant to get in the sheets at this point. Convenient but standards are super low.
If you have an enormous amount of money to burn just to be closer to the airport, sure, go for it. But expect rooms below the quality of a Marriot or Hyatt and a small step above a Motel 6. Expect extravagant costs for minor amenities. And expect rude, snotty attitudes from hotel staff. I arrived very late at night after an exhausting day of travel. I wanted to spoil myself after a really rough week of work so I went over after my flight landed at 11 p.m. The bar was shut down. No food was available. The hotel has no way to accomodate DoorDash drivers, so it took about an hour to coordinate with my driver where he could meet me, all the while hotel security glowering at me like I'd committed a crime for walking around the perimeter at night. Back in the room I had my TV on about 40 percent volume and had fallen asleep with it when I was awoken to very loud banging on the door. As I scrambled to dress the banging continued. This was around 2:30 a.m. When I opened it it was a hotel employee telling me "you need to keep the noise level in your down, we're getting a lot of complaints." I told him i'd been sleeping so it clearly wasn't me, unless he thought the TV at this relatively low volume was the issue. He looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language and said again "you need to keep it down." It was incredibly rude. If the walls at your $590/night hotel are so damn thin that you can't enjoy TV at a minimal volume without bothering others, you have a serious problem. Clearly they need to invest in better walls and better night staff. I paid $590 for my room and that was with a discount and I was there for 10 hours all told. I can't believe I wasted that money to such an evil company. Very selfish, unprofessional. If I was staying at a Motel 6 i wouldn't care, because you make certain sacrifices when you spend $70 a night, and you know that up front. But to drop $590 on a room you expect security to not look at you like a criminal and you expect some basic kindness and maybe a few amenities included or at a low price. I understand you might not keep the bar open all night, it's just part of the larger very poor experience that was not mitigated by anything else. If you need a hotel close to the airport, stay at the Hyatt or Marriott a few miles away and take the 5 minute train ride in the morning. Vastly better experience, nicer rooms, and you'll save $490. Yes, that's four hundred and ninety dollars.
If you absolutely have to stay close to the airport, it's hard to beat the Westin Denver Airport. The staff are great and the hotel is top notch. However, beware the price of everything... food and drink will not be cheap. To be expected at an airport hotel so be aware that's part of the convenience cost.
We stayed at The Westin Denver International Airport for one night and found it to be incredibly convenient, especially given how busy and expansive Denver’s airport can be. The location truly cannot be beat. You take two elevators, cross a walkway, and you are literally inside the airport terminal. For an early flight or late arrival, the ease of access removes so much stress. The hotel offers a couple of restaurant options as well as a coffee shop that serves Starbucks, which makes it easy to grab dinner, drinks, or a quick breakfast without leaving the property. It feels very self contained and efficient for travelers who just need a smooth overnight stay. One logistical note is that valet can be difficult for Uber drivers to find. We ended up coordinating pickup near the Tivoli restaurant, which worked fine once we figured it out, but it is something to be aware of when arranging rides. Check in did take quite a while. There were only two employees working the front desk and a long line had formed, so the process felt slower than expected after a travel day. Once in the room, however, everything felt comfortable and well appointed. The room was very spacious, robes and toiletries were provided, and the bed and linens were exceptionally comfortable. One of the highlights was the view of the runway. Watching planes land added a unique and surprisingly relaxing touch to the stay. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel for its unmatched convenience, comfortable rooms, and airport accessibility. It is an ideal choice for anyone flying in or out of Denver.
Worst high level hotel staff I have ever encountered hands down and I have stayed at numerous hotels across all the major chains over the years for both business and vacation. I booked a government rate as I was a government employee when I made the booking but happened to leave my job in the interval. When I wasn’t able to produce a government ID at check in they upcharged me by $300 to their walk up rate which was around $500. I asked to speak to a manager and while I understood their policy about the government rate, I was asking him to cut me some slack and honor the online bonvoy member rate which at the time of my pre-booking was $50-$100 more, still much less than the walk-up rate. I even tried to show him email proof of leaving my government job to demonstrate that I was not lying about having been a government employee in order to cheat the system. The manager who essentially behaved like a corporate robot dishonestly and inaccurately told me that a bonvoy member online rate never existed, which was of course completely bogus. I then became visibly upset at him which in turn resulted in him staring me down and threatening to throw me out of the hotel. I subsequently complained to Marriott central offices who did nothing but revert back to the front office at the hotel, who in turn just sent out their garbage corporate response about sorry we failed to meet your expectations but we really don’t give a damn and won’t do anything about it. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that they’re the only game onsite at the airport and know they have carte blanche to do whatever they want without any impact to their business and bottom line.
I accidentally booked a room for December 24th. But meant to book for December 27th. I was panicking because the cancelation date had passed. I called the hotel and Glenda helped me rebook for the 27th and canceled the 24th. Reservation. She was so helpful and calmed me right down. Glenda helped me have a stress free holidays weekend and I would like for the world to kniw how great she is!!! Glenda rocks!!!!
My recent experience at the Westin Denver International Airport was deeply disappointing and far below the standard I expect from a hotel of this reputation and price point. After the airport experienced a power outage and our flights were disrupted, we decided to stay overnight and catch a flight the following morning. Upon arrival at the Westin, we were surprised by an extremely steep “walk-in price,” but given the circumstances, we accepted it. Our airline had also provided us with $60 in food vouchers, so before checking in we asked the front desk if the hotel accepts these vouchers, especially considering the hotel is physically connected to the airport. We were explicitly told yes—not once, but twice—both at check-in and again when confirming before ordering food. Trusting this information, we ordered room service. After we had already eaten and paid using the vouchers, we received a phone call at 10:30 PM from the front desk informing us they actually would not accept the vouchers after all due to them “not having a card number.” This was especially frustrating as we were subsequently charged for the remainder of the meal and even left without the vouchers we were originally given. This issue occurred on top of an earlier negative interaction when we attempted to dine in the restaurant downstairs. Our server asked for ID—which is completely reasonable—but did so in an unprofessional and unfriendly manner. After providing my valid Pennsylvania driver’s license (which I have used everywhere else in Colorado without issue), I was abruptly informed that they “wouldn’t be able to serve” me. The tone and attitude were dismissive and unnecessarily rude. Overall, the lack of clear communication, the misinformation regarding voucher acceptance, the late-night call and unexpected charges, and the poor customer service created an incredibly stressful and unpleasant experience—particularly during an already difficult travel situation. For a hotel that charges premium prices and carries the Westin name, this level of service is unacceptable.
Love it when I can stay here. A little pricy but the ease for next day travel is unbeatable. Rooms clean and super crazy quiet. Service great but they tend to not have enough folks at the front desk and you can wait a bit. If you can score this place for under $300 totally worth it.
Extremely convenient location making airport accessibility so easy & hotel room was very clean. 4 Stars because the night we checked in there was some sort of contained fire on the first floor which disabled all the elevators & other technology-driven operations. Power was not restored for hours which led to frustration & guest inconvenience. However I would like to give a shout out to Adrion Rivera (Ass. Director of Front Office) who was under significant stress that evening (he was the only highest ranking manager on the property that evening) for his outstanding customer service, calm demeanor, grace under pressure & sense of humor. He truly deserves a bonus for his professionalism that evening for how he interacted with his staff as well as the hotel guests. I hope that he gets the company recognition that he deserves!
Location, location, location! Being right at the airport is very convenient, no shuttle, you can walk right into the terminal. Ludacrisly expensive but very convenient if you can afford it. Everything is very high class except no night lights in the room or the bathroom, and the towels were very coarse albeit plentiful.
