11th Avenue Hostel offers a budget-friendly option in Denver, particularly appealing to travelers seeking a central location and a vibrant atmosphere. While many guests praise the staff, location, and clean rooms, there are recurring concerns regarding bathroom facilities and temperature control, particularly in shared accommodations.
I highly recommend anyone staying in Denver with a large group to stay here - we had a truly wonderful experience! ? We were a large group of 40 + of students & faculty and we were very impressed with the amazing service of the hotel staff. They made booking a large group a very seamless process, and the rooms were very nice. The hotel is lovely, and the main floor lobby is charming - the coffee bar was great & the adjacent room we rented for our large group to have breakfast was very helpful to us. It is very close to the Denver Art Museum as well. I highly recommend & we will be planning to stay again the next time we visit Denver. ?
i don’t have high expectations with hostels, i do realize the affordability with the hostel world. chris at the front desk was very receptive, kind, & patient: i had a nice great experience at this hostel. bus routes around the corner and access to local shops, book stores, coffee shops, and restaurants in capital hill. the aesthetic and atmosphere in the hostel is fantastic. loved the art mushroom ? in the main lobby.
Please do not listen to any positive reviews. My college dorm is 100 times more comfortable than staying here. I genuinely felt that I was sleeping in a jail cell. Unless you need a place to sleep for ONE non-weekend night, I do not recommend staying here. Bathrooms were disgusting and all they had was handsoap as shampoo! Nightlife outside was so loud that I couldn't sleep until the club closed and earplugs did nothing! I couldn't stand it anymore and had to book somewhere else and they even refused to refund my reservation through Expedia, only offering a small room upgrade. Will NEVER stay here ever again if I revisit Denver. Definitely not worth 380 dollars for 4 nights...
I had a great stay at this hostel. The location is perfect and it is super close to all the main spots and plenty of restaurants. The room was very clean and the bathroom looked freshly polished. They provided shampoo, soap, and three towels. I really loved my stay and would absolutely rate it a 10 out of 10.
Perfect and affordable. Nice staff, especially Cristobal! The night shift guy was nice, too. The bed is comfortable, the room is clean. The set up with a bathroom outside of the room is inconvenient but it’s what keeps cost down, and honestly it’s never too much trouble. Central location and nicely decorated. Would definitely come back.
I recently stayed at 11th Avenue Hostel in Denver and had a great experience, especially with the private room I booked. The location is unbeatable—just steps away from Temple nightclub, making it perfect for a night out. The hostel features a cozy coffee shop that serves up delicious brews, which was a nice touch for starting my day. The room itself was clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable space for a quick stay. The atmosphere in the hostel was friendly and welcoming, with a mix of travelers that added to the vibrant vibe. Overall, 11th Avenue Hostel is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a budget-friendly yet enjoyable stay in Denver. I’d definitely return for my next visit!
We stayed for a few nights in a private room. The place was very cute inside and the room was perfect - nothing crazy, but exactly what to expect in an older building. The only downside (ish) was the area - great to get around Denver quickly, but the surrounding area was not the safest and was abundant with homelessness. Having to park the car a block or so away made getting back at night a little nerve wracking, but it was definitely do-able and we would go back!
We loved our stay here! It is in a great location with plenty of walkability for food and things to visit like the museum. This was our first time staying in a Hostel so wasn't sure how we would like the restroom/shower situation but it was no problem! They were close enough to the room and not awkward or unclean. I particularly loved the shared kitchen which had a stove, wowee I could have cooked something up and the library/lounge area was adorable with plenty of books. Laundry downstairs was convenient and I LOVED the lobby which had a coffee bar and food. We couldn't have asked for more with the rate that we paid. We will be back for sure!!
The hostel is beautiful. I didnt do my research upon booking, so I had no idea for shared bathrooms. It wasn't a huge problem, because staff did make sure to upkeep everywhere. Such a cute vintage style place. The ice cream shop/coffee shop was awesome. The place also encourages us to attend their planned things like Avengers movie night. I didn't like how the windows in my room were blocked by wiring/paper? Parking wasn't near so I had anxiety about the safety of my car. The pro is that parking was 50% off the day I went, the hostel has coupons to make it affordable for parking!
BUYER BEWARE. Do NOT listen to these Google reviews. Absolutely false reviews. There are NO private bathrooms, you do NOT control the AC (80-85° in our room - asked front desk to set to 68°). We were charged ($40 extra) $110 a night when the booking.com fee was $71 a night. There are no amenities to shower(no warning of needing footwear), the shower drains are shared with the toilet area. The bed is extremely flimsy and noisy and spring loaded (not memory foam) and I knocked the mattress halfway off just sitting down trying to cool off waiting for the AC (I am by no means out of shape). After 2 hours room has not cooled off at all. I am sweating profusely and cannot even shower or cool off. SAVE YOUR MONEY!! Rooms smell, cannot open windows or control air flow via AC. Not sure where the "value," "private bathrooms," or "comfort" (able beds/rooms) reviews came from. Oh and the blinds don't close... seriously save your money. This is 1 star at most in both review and true to it's hotel rating. There's also little to no room to put any belongings (not sure where spacious reviews came from).
