The Aloft Denver Downtown receives generally positive reviews, primarily praising its excellent location, friendly staff, and convenient amenities. However, some guests have experienced issues with parking, noise levels, and inconsistencies in room quality, alongside a concerning incident regarding reservation cancellations. Despite these issues, the hotel is heavily favored for its service and downtown accessibility.
The staff made the stay fantastic. Everyone always made sure we had everything we needed. They checked our bags after check-out. Offered us water when we were heading out. They were exceedingly friendly and we loved them. The location was great, as you could walk to a lot of cool places. The free downtown shuttle was a few blocks away, as well. It's next door to a gentlemen's club, but we never saw anything that could be considered inappropriate. There was a 3 a.m. party in the parking lot, but that's a hazard of a great location. The room was clean and comfy, but was obviously designed by someone with odd preferences. The somewhat frosted window between the shower and the bedroom was odd. If you stand close to it while showering, your roomie can see you. Also, no make up mirror or full length mirror. And the door between the dressing area and potty--it's a barn door on a slider. So, not a lot of privacy there. Really should have invested in a pocket door. Make sure you are exceedingly close with your roommate, because they will get to see and hear all of you. View was nice. I mean you aren't high enough up to see mountains, but the city is pretty at night. They have lots of yummy snacks in the lobby you can charge to your room at any time. The lobby has games including a pool table with decent cues. And they have a nice area for loading and unloading. Since we Uber a lot, that's important to us. For the price we paid on Hotles.com, it was completely worth it and would stay again.
Warm friendly service at check in. Room clean and comfortable. Fantastic location near the Denver Center For The Performing Arts. Lots of good food and fun bars nearby. Felt very safe and secure parking in the attached parking lot. Would highly recommend.
This place is a hidden Gem for sure! Very clean modern and well priced! The staff was awesome, housekeeping were wonderful! The lounge / bar area was awesome! Board games, pool table, corn hole and some good cocktails. Love the modern look and vibe in both common area and rooms. They have a cool mini shop that you can get some snacks and drinks to go. Well done Aloft, well done, we will definitely be back.
Overall the room was clean which is the most important thing to me. However, the coffee cup was splattered with coffee which I never used which tells me the cup was left from the previous guest. There was also a seam in the floor between the tile and the closet that you look at from the bathroom that was filled with all kinds of nasty stuff. My room was at the end of the hall, around a corner, that didn’t feel especially safe going to as a female alone. I was also next to the door to the stairs that slammed loudly day and night. I travel with ear plugs and a white noise machine and am not usually bothered, but this was bothersome. Lastly, I found the check in desk right in front of the elevators to be annoying. As soon as I got off the elevator every time someone was in my face like I didn’t belong here. The location was great for my conference, but otherwise I would not be back.
No complaints about the service, although mostly it was just us saying hi and bye to the concierge as we came and went. Check-in was quick and easy, as was check-out. Parking was extremely frustrating, with no parking offered by the hotel. The 3 parking lots in the immediate vicinity that were recommended by the hotel were around $30 for each day and/or each time we parked there, making it inconvenient to come back to the hotel in between excursions. This would have been less problematic if we were planning to stick to the downtown area where we could have walked or taken public transportation. We ended up parking in a deck a few blocks away instead. The layout of the bathroom area was a bit weird. There was an open entrance to the sink area and a sliding door to partition the toilet and shower area. The light switch controlled the lights for both areas though, and since there was no divider for the sink area, any time someone needed to use the bathroom at night it meant they were bathing the room in light or using the toilet in the dark. Also the mini fridge was under the bathroom sink, which I didn’t mind but my partner didn't like. There is on site laundry, but after we were directed to it we found a sign up indicating the laundry was out of service. The sign was removed later that evening, but at that point it was late didn't feel worth staying up for since we had an early morning the next day. If you're traveling solo and not driving, this would probably be a better fit. I rated location low because of lack of good parking options, but it was near lots of restaurants and would definitely be more walkable in warmer months.
My son and I spent 4 days at Aloft Downtown Denver. My son is a 22 year old with Down Syndrome. Every staff member made my son feel welcome and safe. They recommended sightseeing activities that would accommodate his sensory limitations. Our room was clean, stocked with everything we needed and the house keeping staff was professional and eager to insure a comfortable stay. Our floor had a washer and dryer as well as filtered water! A special thank you to Bernadette, your people skills are amazing. You checked us in with a smile and made us feel like the most important people in the room!
I had a reservation for months. As my date approached I checked into my hotel. The day before arriving my reservation was cancelled. My trip was for a conference so no hotels were available within walking distance. I had to scramble to find a solution. I’ve been a loyal Marriott member for years, along with my husband. The front desk manager was extremely rude. They never called me back to find a solution or apologize. Let alone mention the card needed to be updated. It was the same number just date needed to be updated. Extremely disappointing as I had already checked in and no one reached out. Stay away from this hotel if you want to get good service known previously the Marriott brand. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
My daughter and I stayed for the first time in this hotel. We were greatly surprised to find a comfortable, nice, and clean room. The room is totally renovated, and the housekeeping did a good job in keeping the room clean. We stayed in a room facing the street, and I had read reviews complaining about the noise, so I was expecting to have trouble sleeping. We didn't have this problem. The staff is very friendly and courteous. They made us feel appreciated and comfortable. The hotel has two perfectly working elevators. The halls were clean and quiet. Special mention to the housekeeping manager, Maria Ramirez. She went above and beyond, making sure we had the items needed in our room. She was very friendly and even suggested to us some restaurants and shops nearby the hotel. We definitely will be back to stay here. We absolutely recommend this hotel not only for its cleanliness and friendly service by its personnel, but for the great location in downtown Denver. It was a perfect stay for us.
Excellent service and great location for a conference I attended at Regency. Lobby was clean and artful and actually looked forward to grabbing a drink at the bar and lounging to unwind! Mercy and Diamond went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and it was always nice to see Mercy on our way in and out of the hotel. The room service staff were also so lovely. Great people work here fr! -washer, dryer on our floor (not sure if on all floors) -filtered water machine with ice machine -mini ref in room -firm mattress -large clean shower -solid bathroom counter space -Steamer (thank goodness no dingey old iron boards!) Feedback - the Aircon / fan tends to rattle a bit and the sink drained a little slowly. Would love hotel slippers for long term stays. When we’re back in Denver, we’ll make staying here a priority!
I won’t stay anywhere else but the Aloft Downtown when I come to Denver! From the moment we stepped in the doors we were amazed by the exceptional customer service and the welcoming faces. We were greeted with warm smiles, complimentary drinks and home baked cookies. No other property has ever gone to that length to make us feel so comfortable and at home. The room and service was always on point. The staff was top tier, specifically Bernadette, Dan and the manager David! Such an amazing experience that we will never forget.
