The Renaissance Boulder Flatiron Hotel consistently receives positive feedback for its modern design, excellent service, and comfortable rooms. However, recent reviews highlight concerns regarding inconsistent service and issues with cleanliness, particularly in some rooms. Value is generally considered good, especially given the hotel’s amenities and location.

Update: The hotel has since been in touch with me and resolved the matter to my satisfaction. Thank you.? STAY AWAY. Formal Corporate Investigation Pending (Marriott Case #873690885). ?As a Gold Elite member, this was the single worst stay I have ever had at a Marriott property. This was not just because the bed was horribly uncomfortable, or because I went to the front desk, asked for additional towels and a pillow, and never received them after the front desk agent explicitly said he placed the order. Those were just bad service; I could have let those go. ?My reason for why this was the single worst hotel experience comes down to a disturbing incident in the hotel bar and lounge area. One night after a very busy day, my family and I did not have it in us to go find a restaurant, so we decided to eat at the hotel. My wife went upstairs to freshen up, while my son and I approached the bartender and asked if we could order food in the bar/lounge area so we could watch the games. She politely said "sure," grabbed us a couple of seats, handed us menus, and took our beverage orders. ?Instead of retrieving our drinks at the bar, the server walked off in the opposite direction and was gone for a while. I assumed maybe she had to go get my son's juice or my bourbon. At least 15 minutes went by with no update, no drinks, and absolutely nothing. My wife came down to join us between the 15-to-20-minute mark and asked why we hadn't ordered anything yet. When I told her, she immediately said something was not right. ?Five minutes later, the exact same server was back behind the bar, taking orders from other patrons and filling them immediately. As we looked over, she went completely out of her way to avoid making eye contact with us. The situation became incredibly uncomfortable because my son and I did not match the physical appearance of the other patrons who were being served immediately. Her avoidance felt entirely deliberate. My son could sense something was wrong and asked why we didn't have anything to drink or eat yet. ?My wife (who does match the appearance of those other patrons) wanted to confront her and ask for the manager. I told her it would likely be the manager she walked off to gain approval from to treat us this way, and I'd rather leave than make a scene in front of our child. So we left. ?To be explicitly clear: we did not have on any offensive clothing, had not had a single alcoholic beverage that day, and do not use any drugs—legal or otherwise. There was absolutely no operational reason to deny us basic service unless you are somehow bothered by our existence, in which case I feel sorry for you. ?This experience crossed the line from poor customer service into deliberate exclusion. Marriott Corporate has been notified and a formal file is open, but public consumers need to know exactly what kind of environment this property tolerates.

Nice hotel; loved how modern it was. Great ambience in the lobby area. Staff was extremely helpful and engaging, especially Sofi at front desk. We ate at the onsite restaurant and our food was just okay, nothing to really write home about. Only issue we had was with the bathroom in the room. We had an accessible room and it was good sized. The issue was that there were used washcloths tucked into the safety bar handle. Otherwise was a good stay

This is a modern, well appointed hotel with great service. I stayed here briefly for a business conference and enjoyed my time there. I stayed in a one bedroom suite, enjoying the separation between sleeping and leisure/working area. I would not reccomend, however, booking anything below this for business travelers if you plan on working from your room at some point. There is a bar with beers and standard cocktails which are good, nothing special or exceptional, however. Their conference rooms are large, very well lit (limiting fatigue during long lectures/presentations) and have modern equiptment for most basic conference needs.

Arrived hotel at 11pm with expectation to leave at 5:30am. I arrived and I am notified there is water maintenance occurring and the entire building is without water. So no working toilets, showers, and sink. I was told no one was available to provide any additional compensation other than water bottles. No notifications that water would not be available. I also had a birthday cake delivered 2 hours before I arrived and notified the front desk of the delivery beforehand. I arrive to the hotel and the hotel cannot find said birthday cake (photos provided by delivery driver that said cake was delivered)

It was wonderful stay. Daughter celebrated birthday with friends here and the service was excellent, rooms were nice and clean, and definitely worth the price. Special shout out to Andrea in reservations. She helped me secure an early check in and when she heard it was for a birthday party she arranged for a little treat in the room and giftcard to restaurant. Those late night lava cakes made the girls feel like queens. Thank you, Renaissance!

Truly Disappointing. Rooms are nice but my room had crumbs on the floor and empty body wash. The worst part of this trip was that I learned as a Titanium member you dont get breakfast with your stay. I was informed by the gentleman at the front desk I can either buy breakfast from the coffee shop, purchase the buffet, or not eat. Literally who says that to a guest? After asking why I usually get breakfast vouchers, since I've stayed at this Renaissance several times in the past, I was offered to trade some of my Bonvoy rewards points for a breakfast voucher that would be deducted from my account. I used to recommend this hotel to my colleagues but its since gone downhill. I'll have to rethink where I stay if this is how guests are treated.

I'm a little mixed about my stay here, but overall it was nice. The heater in the room was loud; yet I'm thankful to be able to adjust the temp to our needs. The beds were nice, clean and the room good. The ice maker on our floor was removed, but one available one floor down. Breakfast was good. Nothing to write home about, but fresh food and nice selection. Potatoes must be frozen, I could have done without them. Why dont they just make fresh potatoes? Lol. Good selection but waffles were soft from sitting in the steamer/chafing dish and the corn-syrup syrup is always awful. But the service was impeccable! Never ending coffee or water and she was so friendly and accommodating. I still think overall the stay here was nice.

Can’t recommend this hotel enough. I am Titanium and it’s the only place I’ll stay out here. It’s very nice with no nonsense. The rooms are huge and clean. The staff are super helpful every time. Shout out to Adam who took care of me the last two visits. Flatz is also nice to have with decent food if you don’t want to go out.

Was a great stay for me and my daughter. Hotel was clean and everyone is inviting. As a hotel manager myself I must commend your staff on how friendly they were. Pool was outstanding and very warm. We didn’t get to try any of the restaurants in house but I am sure that we will be back in the future to try them!

????? We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Renaissance Flatiron Boulder last weekend celebrating my fiancé’s birthday, and I just have to share how exceptional everything was from start to finish. The entire experience exceeded our expectations and made our trip truly special. A huge thank you to Adam at the front desk, who went above and beyond to accommodate my many requests with genuine care and professionalism. The chef’s charcuterie amenity was incredible, and securing the exact bottle of wine I requested—her favorite—was such a thoughtful touch. The cake I ordered from Nothing Bundt Cakes was perfectly preserved and waiting for us in the room, ready for the celebration. The Renaissance Flatiron Boulder really stands out for its outstanding service. The hotel itself is stunning, our room was spotless, and the view from our room was simply breathtaking. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was Adam’s warm hospitality and attention to every detail. He deserves high praise for making our visit so memorable. Thank you for making this birthday celebration one we will cherish forever. We can’t wait to return!
