The St. Julien Hotel & Spa consistently receives high praise for its exceptional service, luxurious amenities, and prime location in downtown Boulder. Guests frequently highlight the warm hospitality, comfortable accommodations, and convenient access to local attractions like Pearl Street Mall and the Boulder Creek Path. The hotel is often described as a memorable and relaxing experience.
We stayed at the St Julien for a wedding this past weekend and it was wonderful! They accommodated early check in, the food and drinks were great, and the staff was so friendly. Can’t beat the location. Brandon W at the front desk was very friendly and helpful to us! We will absolutely be back.
This has been my go to place in Boulder for the last 8 years and by far the best hotel in Boulder. Amazingly helpful front desk/management, housekeeping, valets, just really good people. You get incredible views, impeccable attention to detail and a pool, spa area that rates among the best in the nation. Great people, location and a great night’s rest every time I’ve been. I’d rate it a 6 star if I could and I’m an admittedly high maintenance traveler, so that says a great deal. Highly recommended.
Stayed here for a mom weekend and it was great. I arrived and got a massage, the only weird part of the massage is that the room was quiet no ambiance music and felt like I had to talk to my massage therapist, not the most relaxing but the steam room was great. Had drinks out by the patio, I recommend the frozen espresso martini. They have a car service that took me to a nearby hike which was great. They give you bottle water everyday. The gym is kind of small but has enough weights. The staff were all very nice and helpful with anything. The turndown service was excellent (great job by housekeeping). The hotel is near a bunch of restaurants in a walkable area. The indoor pool could be a little more temp controlled. It was cold and not everyone wants a cold plunge pool, an 80 degree pool would be better suited for a relaxing spa day. Overall great hotel stay and would recommend it to any mom who needs a weekend away to be pampered and relaxed.
The St Julien Hotel & Spa isn't just a place to stay; it is the definitive gateway to the Boulder experience. From the moment you arrive, the service sets a remarkably high bar. The staff manages to strike that rare, perfect balance between professional "four-diamond" precision and a genuine, warm hospitality that feels authentically Colorado. Whether it’s the attentive valets or the concierge team that seems to know every hidden trailhead, you are treated with a level of care that makes you feel like a local regular. The culinary offerings are equally impressive. Jill’s Restaurant & Bistro is a standout, championing a sustainable, "farm-to-table" philosophy that highlights the best of the region's organic produce. Dining on the Terrace while the sun sets behind the iconic Flatirons—accompanied by live local music and a perfectly crafted cocktail from T-Zero Lounge—is a quintessential Boulder moment. Beyond the walls of the hotel, the community of Boulder is right at your doorstep. You are steps away from the vibrant energy of the Pearl Street Mall and the serene beauty of the Boulder Creek Path. The St Julien’s commitment to environmental stewardship and zero-waste initiatives reflects the very soul of this city, making it a stay you can feel good about. For anyone seeking luxury that remains grounded in its surroundings, this is the absolute gold standard.
My stay at the St Julien Hotel was truly exceptional from start to finish. What stood out immediately were the thoughtful, spa-like touches throughout the room. The hair care and body care products felt luxurious and carefully selected, elevating the entire experience beyond what I typically expect from a hotel stay. The plush slippers and robes added an extra layer of comfort and relaxation that made it feel like a personal retreat. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable. Everything felt fresh, well-maintained, and inviting, which made it easy to fully unwind. I was especially impressed by the housekeeping and turnover service. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed, and it was clear that a great deal of care went into ensuring each moment of my stay was comfortable and seamless. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations, and I would absolutely return. The combination of luxury, cleanliness, and thoughtful amenities made for a memorable and truly outstanding stay!!!!!!
The rooms were nicely decorated and clean. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were a little too soft for me, but still - they felt nice. The shower had great shower pressure but no detachable hose. I appreciated the heavy curtains to block the sunlight, the robes, slippers, lots of towels and excellent bath tub and standing shower. The gym had free water bottles and apples. The hotel offers 2 free bottles of water per day and has a mini fridge, but no microwave. I purchased the rooms during Thanksgiving sale and it came with valet parking - which was great and easy to use whenever I needed the car. Otherwise the price is about 40$/ day for valet parking. The receptionist, housekeeping and parking attendants were friendly and polite. Saturday night they played live music in the lobby. They had a nice fireplace and large TV and plush seating. I think the bar and pool close at 10 pm. Loved the full body massage with Flora and the hot oil hair massage! ( Just an fyi though - her palms were a bit rough). The Spa facility is great. My favorite was definitely the Jacuzzi. The falling waterfall on my shoulders and scalp felt so good!
The massage was ridiculously overpriced for the service provided. I said what I wanted worked on and instead the entire hour was like the warm up most do for the first ten. It was also less than 50 mins even though I waited in the wait room well before the scheduled time. It was not deep tissue as ordered and at no point did the masseuse ask how the pressure was. The bill was overcharged for our group. The locker area is completely congested because it’s so small. It was a terrible experience. None of the 3 of us had a great service experience. Mediocre service and prices that say this spa is phenomenal. I do not recommend this spa at all. There are a lot of great options for high end spas in the area. Go elsewhere.
Loved this hotel! We snagged a last minute reservation on a whim and I'm so glad we did. The room was HUGE and SPOTLESS. The bed and pillows were so incredibly comfortable. I have not had such a great night's sleep in a minute! We did not try the restaurants, but we did eat at the adorable French bakery across the street for breakfast and that place was awesome.(Marionette!) We used the giant hot tub and the pool. They had a decent gym as well. Everyone was attentive and were eager to make our stay pleasant. It was walkabout to the Pearl Street Mall. We were in town to see a play at CU Boulder, which was also very close. We took a Lyft to not have to deal with parking on campus, and it was close enough that the Lyft was super cheap. They also had turndown service, which is not something I've seen for quite awhile in US hotels, even very nice ones. Great touch! We felt so cared for. We will be back!
Tastefully appointed boutique spa hotel in the heart of downtown Boulder. Close to fine dining, shopping, and the Boulder Creek Trail. Staff were all courteous and accompanying. Great lounge/bar with lively entertainment on Friday night. Brunch at Jill was delicious with hearty portions and prompt service. The perfect destination for a ladies weekend!
I stayed her about 10 years ago for a short trip. Beautiful place excellent service. Came online to check it out again because the sound in the shower sounded like I was in a waterfall. Very fine memory of my stay. Will stop again when in town.
