Element Denver Downtown East receives generally positive reviews, highlighting its convenient downtown location, comfortable rooms, and complimentary amenities like breakfast and a rooftop terrace. However, some guests have experienced issues with noise levels, particularly thin walls and noisy air conditioning, along with inconsistent service and occasional staff interactions.
I’m not too sure about a few negative comments on this hotel. We stayed here for one night at the end of our trip. Our room on the 5th floor was unbelievably spacious, comfortable and quiet. We had some of our best sleep here at this hotel. The complimentary breakfast will surely fill you up for many hours with a variety of food and excellent orange juice and coffee.
Great location. The room was decent, though the materials were cheap and some of the lament floor was creasing at the seems. The worst part about the day was the interactions with the team. I was checked in by an AGM around 4:30 PM who seemed a little annoyed to assist me during check in. Interaction was minimal and my titanium status wasn’t recognized. My interaction throughout the stay followed suit. When checking out around 10 AM, I waited around for a minute without seeing anyone so I left my keys and went on my way.
Element has become my favorite brand within the Marriott collection, and this property is a perfect example of why. Everything you need, nothing you don't, presented in a clean, modern fashion. Highly recommend.
Location is close tobte airport. Rooms are well maintained and spacious. In addition, the gym and pool are good. The breakfast offering is disappointing in my opinion and has mostly unhealthy options. The shuttle bus need to be requested when arriving at the airport. It departs to the airport only once a hour. The staff was not overly friendly. I believe that is an area where the hotel should really improve.
Absolutely pathetic experience at this location. The air conditioner in my room was broken for the entirety of my stay, leaving the room sitting at 76–78 degrees like a cheap roadside motel instead of a Marriott property. After multiple requests to the front desk, General Manager Alexa Mishkel refused to speak with me directly. Not “unavailable.” Refused. Their brilliant solution? Bringing me a fan that was also broken. You genuinely cannot make this level of incompetence up. I attempted to switch rooms, but because I was in business meetings at 3PM and couldn’t immediately abandon my work obligations to move my belongings, the hotel decided to sell the available rooms instead of taking care of the guest already staying there. That tells you everything you need to know about this property’s priorities. This hotel doesn’t care about hospitality. It cares about squeezing every last dollar out of inventory while current guests suffer through unacceptable conditions. Sleep was disrupted, comfort was nonexistent, and management acted like basic accountability was some kind of inconvenience. Marriott should be embarrassed to have this location carrying its name. A Hilton property would have fixed the issue, upgraded the room, compensated the guest, and handled the situation professionally. This property handed me a broken fan and avoidance from management. If you enjoy paying premium hotel prices to be ignored, overheated, and treated like an inconvenience, this is the place for you!!
We stayed in Element by Marriot Denver Downtown for 9 days and 8 nights in early May 2026. The checkin was done by Matt and he was super efficient, friendly and helpful during our stay. All staff members were very helpful, courteous and responded with a smile. We had a room with a kitchenette, toaster, refrigerator, iron and ironing board, tea/ coffee maker and hair dryer a lounge chair and large table and chair and microwave oven. They have a outdoor fire pit and a roof top viewing deck where you get good view of Denver skyline. Unlike some review we did not meet with any unpleasantness within or outside the premises of the hotel. Its in a safe locality and walking distance to King Sooper supermarket and the 16th Street shopping area and Colorado convention center in Denver. We even braved the snow to walk to and fro to the convention center.
The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was so helpful (specifically had issues with my key card working and the front desk staff never seemed inconvenienced). Also, the breakfast staff were so friendly, it made me feel so welcomed in the morning. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Front of house staff was incredibly helpful navigating downtown [even as a local] and the breakfast is a culinary experience on it's own. 5 stars because they held a bag I misplaced for a full MONTH. They went Above and Beyond my wildest expectations and now it's the only place I stay when I need to wake up downtown!
Got married over Valentine's Day weekend and all of our Out of Town family booked at this wonderful hotel. My wife and I also booked a room here on our wedding night and were pleased with the room, the service and the best breakfast ever. The central Denver location is prime. Rooms are comfortable and clean and the staff is excellent. I'll stay here anytime.
? 0/5 Stars – Avoid at All Costs This is hands down one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment you walk in, you’re met with pure hostility and negative energy from staff who look unprofessional, hide their faces under hoodies, and treat guests with open disrespect. If your credit card or ID isn’t placed directly into their hand, expect verbal abuse and racial slurs, regardless of who you are. The attitude is aggressive, demeaning, and completely unacceptable for any business—especially a hotel. It doesn’t stop at the front desk. Guests are threatened with being kicked out, and staff will reportedly follow you into the parking lot attempting to start confrontations. That’s not just unprofessional—that’s dangerous. I felt unsafe, disrespected, and shocked that a place like this is even allowed to operate as a hotel. I will never stay here again, and I strongly recommend others do the same. There are countless better options out there. Do yourself a favor and stay literally anywhere else.
