The Home2 Suites by Hilton Denver Convention Center receives mixed reviews, with guests praising its convenient downtown location, comfortable beds, and helpful staff. However, recurring concerns center around parking costs, cleanliness issues, and inconsistencies in service. Recent issues include shower flooding, and difficulties with check-in procedures.
The parking here is absolutely horrible. I told the valet i would park my truck, then he informed me my truck was too big for their parking lot, but it wasn't before? Second, I had to park 3 blocks away with no place at the hotel to offload my luggage because I wasn't using valet parking. $30 a night for parking and it expires at 5am and they will fine you if it expires.
Got there 10 minutes before check in and they wanted to charge me 50 dollars for an early check in. Not to mention the 64 dollars overnight parking fee. Rooms are average. For the room price + the parking fee you can find better.
I had a confirmed, fully paid reservation and was driving non-stop from Texas to Denver (14 hours). I tried calling the hotel many times, but no one answered. When I arrived late, my room had been sold, and the first front desk employee was not helpful.name Anjelo- … Thankfully, Omar from the next shift was extremely understanding, professional, and flexible. He fixed the issue and made everything work out. I’m very grateful for his excellent customer service.
The room was very clean, which I really appreciated. The complimentary breakfast was excellent with plenty of great options. The location was convenient as well. That said, the $64 overnight parking felt excessive, which was frustrating. I was also a bit put off by the valet experience—when I arrived, the attendant seemed inconvenienced by my presence, which wasn’t a great first impression. Overall, the stay was fine, but those factors made it feel a bit overwhelming at times.
I've had 2 issues during my stay. 1st I arrived, unpacked and then turned on the shower. By the time I grabbed my robe and slippers, water was coming out of the bathroom. The shower pan flooded. After calling the front desk I was given another room. No room issues since. But I'm only on night 2 of a 6 night stay. 2nd issue is the cost of parking $64/night. I usually stay at another location in Denver when traveling for work and they waive my parking fees. Overall, I come to Denver 1-2 times a month. The other location doesn't have some of the amenities like the lobby which is perfect for meeting, working or even taking a break from work to people watch. I enjoy the walkability of Target, Starbucks, CVS and too many eateries to name. Easy access from the freeway, plus close to many of the venues in downtown.
I liked my stay here. The rooms were small but good. I loved the customer service from all the breakfast attendees. I did see some customers that I think are homeless people since I’ve seen them on the streets in downtown. When I checked around there weren’t any security guards. I think that there should be more security in the hotel. Overall it was an okay stay.
I went to the front desk around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday to get my digital key pre-approved, only to be told I had to wait until the room was ready. Fine. But when I came back at 3:00 to finally check in, your staff suddenly informed me that I had to be 21 years old to stay at the hotel — something that was never disclosed anywhere on the booking website. I’m 20, and this information would have completely changed my plans had it been made clear. The fact that it wasn’t is unacceptable. What made the situation even worse was your staff’s complete unwillingness to help us. We had a game we needed to get to by 5:00 and asked the front desk to store our luggage so we could still make it. They refused. Not only did they refuse, they wouldn’t even make a temporary exception. We were left with nowhere to store our bags because of a mistake that wasn’t even ours. This was an extremely frustrating and avoidable situation, and your customer service did nothing to help — it only made things worse. I’m incredibly disappointed and honestly shocked at how poorly this was handled. They told me they would give me a full refund as well and I have yet to see that reflected.
Angel at the front desk was awesome! Our king room was overbooked and he hooked us up with a king studio with a Mountain View to make it right! 10/10 service and rooms. Bed is very comfy
Everything was very smooth and the room was a great location! It is a little loud because you are downtown, but that comes with being right in the heart of everything. I found everything was clean and well maintained; it must have been recently renovated. The staff were friendly. The gym was well appointed and clean. I was able to walk from here to everything that I wanted to see. I like having the option for fridge and microwave, etc. so I could enjoy my leftovers from all the great food I had in Denver. There is a great view of the Rockies. The breakfast is typical Hilton hotel breakfast--very serviceable. I didn't need it, but I appreciated that there was a curtain in the room to separate the King bed from what I am assuming is a pull out couch if you were travelling with other people.
Stay here. Do your homework (such as what it costs to park, or checkout late; that's on you, not them). Water temp in shower was good and mostly steady, trending towards hotter. Shower head high. All good. Breakfast is very decent. Plenty of options for everyone who doesn't complain about a benefit. I live in a rural community but understand noise in a big city. Usually it's individuals or bad neighbors who cause the most problems
