This place is super nice. The grounds around the property are immaculate. The lawns/grass are just phenomenal. I wish my lawn looked like that. The hot spring pools are all very individual in their own way. We tried them all, and they all had different temperatures as well. The twin slides are a hoot for sure!! We had one of the condo cabins to stay in, and it was just right for us. The food was good, bars all over to get a drink, very well done the way it is set up. Highly recommend it and we will likely be back again!! Great location with access to some old historical areas up Chalk Creek.

My wife and I didn't stay at the resort but we reserved a private hot spring pool for our anniversary on 08.09.2026. It was nothing short of amazing. We reserved the main pool area without the water slides. The main hot pool was great. Also my our attendant Raquel was awesome! She was attentive but also gave us our privacy and, very friendly and helpful! She definitely added to the experience. I would recommend this to anyone and will be back in the Future!

The location and staff were good. Beds comfy. However there is NO A/C. I don't know how you can run a wedding and event venue and not have air conditioning in the event centers. It was miserably hot, we were in the lodge up on the hill. There is a second, snaller event lodge on the hill and it doesn't have a/c either. It was in the 90s our entire visit. Our family stayed in a few different cabins on the hill and none had a/c. They were miserably hot and it was hard to sleep. It does cool down in the early am but then super hot again by 10am. The pools are all hot as well so the only way to cool down was to go in the river. The river part was very nice. The pool water slides are very fast! Only people who know how to swim can use them. No floaties or goggles allowed. They won't allow you to stay at the bottom and catch your kid coming down like they used to. So other than float in hot water in hot weather there's not much for little kids to do.

Beautiful resort with warm pools and slides for the entire family, and an adult only area. We stayed in the creekside condos, which have a kitchenette and a lovely balcony. We did have to drive for less than 5 min to the pools as the road is inclined and I’m not in the best of shapes. The restaurant was really good! The market is good in a pinch for basics, but recommend a grocery run before coming.

I've visited Mount Princeton Hot Springs many times over many years and have always enjoyed our stays, which is why this visit was disappointing. The staff was friendly and welcoming, actually friendlier than some of our past experiences and that was appreciated. However, for the price of a one- or two-night stay, I expect a much higher overall experience. The biggest issue was cleanliness. The women's restroom near the main middle pools and in the bathhouse was absolutely horrid. Cleanliness did not appear to be a priority and significantly impacted our experience. We also ordered takeout to enjoy in our room. Paying $45 for a steak dinner and not receiving a steak knife was frustrating. The room only had a butter knife, and we were provided plastic utensils. Small details like this matter when you're paying resort prices. Additionally, there wasn't a disposable cup available in the room for coffee to go. The only coffee cups provided was a mug already sitting in the dishwasher within the room. While we still enjoyed parts of our stay and appreciated the staff, the overall cleanliness and lack of attention to basic guest conveniences made this trip feel very different from the Mount Princeton experience we've come to expect over the years. It is also a bummer that the upper pools close so early at 5pm, kids had a great time, but not super accommodating for kids.

Overall, this is a great experience. The ability to climb down to the river is such a cool experience. The pools are cool. I do prefer different pools at Cottonwood more. The view is so beautiful. One thing that I did not enjoy about my experience is the locker rooms. Some people are extremely uncomfortable with dressing or showering in the open and there are no shower curtains or dressing rooms and should be a consideration for people. Most people are probably staying there and have a room to go back to, others do not. Unfortunately, that was a dealbreaker for me on doing a day trip here and will only go if I’m staying the night. Unfortunately, as much as I love to soak and chill, I also can’t sit in that water without showering and changing after. That would be my only reason for a 4 Star, but would gladly change it, if those minor things were changed.

Best hot springs I've been to yet. The scenery is absolutely stunning, with the peak of Mount Princeton looming over you. We stayed in the Creekside cabins which were nice and modern with solid amenities. I wish it was a bit warmer outside, sleeping with the windows open listening to the creek all night would've been amazing. The actual springs complex is very nice. There's separate kids and adults pools which are fed with hot spring water, so if you don't have kids you don't need to share a pool with kids. The adults pool also has a bar inside, though you aren't allowed to bring drinks into the water. The sauna was also nice and clean. The main attraction though is in between the kids' pool and adults' pool. The creek runs right between the two buildings and you can actually get down there into the all-natural mountain water directly on top of the hot springs. Even sharing with kids, I spent like two hours directly on top of a hot water vent and did not want to leave. The attached restaurant is pricey, but worth it. I got the house burger with truffle fries and both were pretty darn good. There is also a convenience store on sight with some cheaper food options, including a Hunt Bros. pizza. Finally, the drive both in and out almost makes it worth it for the drive alone. Literally one of the most scenic locations on the planet, right in our backyard.

This was a wonderful experience. We were only passing through but wished we could have spent more time here. The natural hot springs is the main attraction. We visited in the winter which felt whimsical to lounge in a river with snow all around. The staff were all great from check in to navigating the hot springs. Very relaxing and a worthwhile experience. We stayed in a hillside room which was perfect for the night. We highly recommend a visit!

Visited in February on a snowy day. Decided on the lower priced day pass so didn't use the spa section. Two nice pools. Creekside pools were enjoyed by my husband. Friendly staff. Only downside was the showers. You have to hold the button the whole time. Also, lockers way overpriced

Our stay at Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort was extremely disappointing from start to finish, which was especially upsetting given that this was supposed to be our Valentine’s Day getaway. The room was noticeably dirty — there was dirt, trash, and random debris under the bed, which made it clear housekeeping was not thorough at all. On top of that, some of the dishes provided in the room were still dirty, which is honestly unacceptable for a place charging resort prices. The hot springs themselves were also lacking basic comfort and amenities. None of the pools had benches to sit on, which made relaxing difficult, especially during longer soaks. This was a particularly big issue for us because my fiancé has arthritis and relies on having proper seating for comfort and support while using hot springs. The absence of benches significantly impacted his ability to enjoy the experience. There was also absolutely no shade anywhere around the pools. Every other hot springs property we’ve visited has at least some umbrellas or shaded areas, so this felt like a major oversight and made it uncomfortable to spend extended time outside. We also had a very poor overnight experience due to extremely loud and disruptive upstairs neighbors. There was constant noise, banging, and activity that made it difficult to relax or sleep. When we brought this to staff’s attention, they did not seem concerned and no meaningful effort was made to address the situation, which was frustrating and added to the feeling that guest comfort was not a priority. The gym experience was just as poor — it was not air-conditioned and the thermostat read 80°, making it unusable. A resort fitness facility should at minimum be climate controlled. What made the experience even more frustrating was how management handled the situation afterward. When we raised these issues, they refused to provide a full refund despite the condition of the room, disruptive environment, and lack of amenities. After going back and forth, we negotiated a partial refund — only to later be recharged the refund amount. This felt incredibly dishonest and left a bad taste after an already negative stay. Overall, between the cleanliness issues, missing amenities, disruptive noise, uncomfortable facilities, and poor customer service resolution, this was not the relaxing Valentine’s Day getaway we expected and we would not choose to stay here again. The best part of our experience here was when we left and stayed somewhere else the following night, we highly recommend Silver Ridge Lodge in Salida Colorado. They have a saltwater hot tub and have excellent customer service. I included some pictures of underneath the bed and one photo of one of the many dishes that had what looked like maybe dirt or coffee grounds in it, I should’ve taken pictures of the spatulas that had old food on them.
