Staybridge Suites Denver Downtown receives generally positive reviews, particularly praising its convenient location, complimentary breakfast, and happy hour. Guests appreciate the fully equipped kitchenettes and comfortable rooms, as well as the helpful staff. However, parking can be challenging and expensive, and some rooms exhibit dated features and maintenance issues. Recent reviews mention some cleanliness concerns and operational issues with amenities like the pool and HVAC.
In a great location. Everyone working there was super friendly, clean rooms, complimentary breakfast and happy hour was awesome and 24 hour pool and hot tub. All around a really great hotel to stay at for the price.
Honestly this is one of the best fair priced hotels I’ve stayed at in the downtown Denver area. Rooms were very clean and have a full kitchenette equipped with an induction top for cooking. I had my two girls with me and they fully enjoyed the 24/7 pool. Which sold us in the first place bc we knew we wouldn’t be in town until a little late and didn’t have to rush to the pool. And then the continental breakfast was honestly one of the better ones I have had as well. Still your typical hotel free breakfast but they had potatoes and egg omelette and a yogurt bar that was a touch above the rest in my opinion. Also the complimentary happy hour was a pleasant surprise! Honestly for the value- this is somewhere we will for sure be staying again if we are around the Denver area. The only downside was the tv had like 5 channels- but we had a laptop with us so we just used our streaming services. If you bring a game console you could easily set the tv up with an hdmi cord.
We love the staff at the front desk; very helpful! The room seemed to be small, however we had everything we needed! The shampoo, body wash, lotion were very good brand! I would recommend to stay here anytime!
I had an excellent stay at this hotel, and it would not have been possible without the help of Cameron. For context, I made a nonrefundable booking through Super.com, originally for early October 2025. But I had a schedule conflict, so I needed to rebook. Cameron worked proactively with his manager to allow us to reschedule despite Super.com’s nonrefundable policy, and he rebooked us for our new dates in late October at no cost to us. Without Cameron’s help, we would not be able to complete our stay, so I want to thank him for his work and flexibility. I also want to extend my gratitude to Daniela, who gave us complimentary early check-in after we had an early flight into Denver. Both Cameron and Daniela made our stay very comfortable, and I would gladly choose to stay here again.
Cozy and well-located hotel in downtown Denver. The suite includes a convenient kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and everything needed for a comfortable stay — perfect if you prefer preparing your own meals. Rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was simple but good, and the hotel also has a swimming pool. I especially loved the sunset views from the window. Great location within walking distance of the Denver Performing Arts Complex, Colorado Convention Center, and nearby downtown parks. I would happily stay here again.
This was a terrible disappointing stay. We hoped that paying for a pricier place would mean a better experience, but this is below par considering the price. Very limited on-site parking available for an exorbitant price, practically paying for a motel room for your car. There are some parking lots around the area that are cheaper, but expect to dish out money to house a vehicle. The rooms are roomy, but everything in them is old and outdated. Old TVs with no casting functions and nothing available but infomercials, and in our room it was 40 ft from the bed with the couch directly under it. You'd need binoculars to watch anything on it. They also charge an additional hefty security deposit. We stayed for about 4 days, and ended up needing an additional $300 to check in because they didn't communicate that when we got the reservation. The entrance is also frustratingly difficult to find and very crowded. I understand there's probably not much they can do about that, but it sucked.
We had a great stay! We came in for a quick business trip and wanted to be close to the convention center (perfect walking location for that!). We ended up taking our young kids along so we could visit family during our trip to CO, so we also wanted a family friendly hotel. I was a little nervous about location after reading some reviews but we felt totally safe walking around (both daytime and after dark) - it's a typical city after all, you have to just be mindful. We parked our rental car across the street that the hotel recommended since their small lot was full, it was easy and convenient. The room was big enough, we appreciated the large 12 cup coffee pot (not a silly Keurig!!!!) and the cleanliness of everything. There was no dish soap to do dishes by hand but they happily supplied us with detergent for the dishwasher when we needed it. Temp levels were nice/easy to manage, we didn't hear noise from any other rooms and minimal noise from outside. Beds were super comfy. We hit a snaffu when the hotel couldn't locate packages we had shipped there for our business event which was a bit stressful but staff was SO nice and helpful. The GM ended up coming over and helping us locate them just in time. We really were so pleased with the friendly staff. They were so helpful, too, when we were loading & unloading our car and having to do so with young kids in tow. Truly couldn't speak more highly about the staff at this hotel!
The 1 star reviews are all true! This is not a typical IHG property. This hotel is rundown, dirty, front lobby has no signage but is in an alley, located in a sketchy area in between the county courthouse and probation offices, has little to no onsite parking, but has some nice ladies at the front desk. We traveled all day from out of state and were tired, then had to drive around the area multiple times fighting against one way streets trying to find the parking and entrance. They offer 5 or so parking spots onsite for $32 a night or across the street in a public lot for $27 a night. We go to the room, and find it rundown, dirty, and stained. There is an open hvac access right next to the bed...like a grown person sized access from the inner walls of the hotel into my room that doesn't lock right next to where I'm sleeping??!! Weird stains, damage and funk on walls, furniture, carpet and tub. The breakfast food is old and reused/reheated and the breakfast service staff aren't the friendliest. Stale hard bagels, mushy berries and reheated for days sausage links and omelettes. We walked from the hotel to the Denver Museum of Art during the day but did not walk around the area at night. We witnessed another guest in the lobby reporting a moldy mattress on their pullout couch that their asthmatic child was supposed to sleep on to the desk staff. This coupled with other reviews here about bedbugs had me freaked out we were all going to catch something. I didn't complain because I booked this through Priceline as a package, we were traveling for my child's birthday celebration, didnt want to cause additional stress for the family and assumed that no other room would be better than this one. It seems like corporate management has forgotten this property which trickles down to the hotel management and then to the staff. This is our 4th trip to Denver and this hotel is not representative of what visiting Downtown Denver has ever been or should ever be. Travelers should avoid this property and management should invest in rehabbing it.
I would never stay here again. I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding my recent stay at your Staybridge Suites property. This was our second stay at this hotel; our first experience was positive, which is why we chose to return. As a Diamond Elite member, I have consistently selected IHG properties based on the level of service and professionalism I have come to expect. Unfortunately, this particular stay fell well below those expectations. After checking in, my family and I discovered that the room provided was significantly smaller than expected and did not match the room shown in the pictures at the time of booking. We selected this accommodation specifically based on the advertised size and layout, so this discrepancy was both surprising and inconvenient. When we raised this concern at the reception desk, the interaction with the manager was extremely disappointing. Rather than responding with understanding or offering an apology, the manager was rude and dismissive in tone and instructed us to make alternate arrangements, despite the issue not being of our making. Most concerning was that during this conversation, the manager inferred and implied things about our son that we never said or suggested. This was inappropriate, unprofessional, and deeply uncomfortable for us as a family. Given the lack of professionalism and the nature of this interaction, we felt we had no choice but to leave the hotel immediately and make alternate accommodations elsewhere, resulting in significant inconvenience. It is particularly unfortunate that this experience occurred during our second stay, as our first visit had been a good one. Regrettably, the manager’s handling of this situation completely overshadowed that prior positive experience and ultimately led us to leave the property.
Not enough can be said about the superior level of customer service that is present from all shifts and all staff members. They answer all questions with a smile and attentiveness that you only get at 5 stars. The free breakfast is actually a buffet, eggs, sausage, bacon, cereal, blueberry muffins, pancakes, waffles, and plenty of sides, it is top notch! And the location is great, 3 blocks west of the 16th st mall. However, the upfront parking borders on the ridiculous. If you are driving a scooter, then no problem, anything else and it's a problem. The parking spots are SO TIGHT, that even if you are able to fit in between the lines, which you will not, then you know that the person who parks next to you has no choice but to bang your vehicle when opening their door. Not to mention unloading bags. Very difficult to navigate. The root of the problem is that management is attempting maximize profit by fitting as many parking spots as humanly possible at $32 a day. However, the reverse has happened as people just make up their own parking positions as the pictures attached will clearly show. If not, then they overlap, leaving whole parking spots open as no car can possibly fit, which mitigates profit margin anyway, as another picture clearly shows. And oh boy, if you're driving a plus size suv or truck, forget about it. Plus, enforcement needs to be applied here as too many people park their to run into another business. There is other parking available directly across Tremont so I do not want to discourage anyone. There is also metered parking. Quick Note. Upfront parking costs a guaranteed $32 A DAY. A parking ticket, if paid within 48 hours online, is $35. Tremont is a 1 way street headed west, there is ALWAYS parking on the street, with the exception of Friday and Saturday nights and Nuggets/Avs games. However, that is my only gripe and it's not really a gripe. The EXCELLENT and incredibly helpful staff and the amenities more than make up for the ill-thought out parking accommodations by management.
