Rooms are small, but nice. Quiet room with good internet. Strange that rooms are small and the hallways are huge. Very strange... and the Hotel seems new and very clean. Considering it was a school, its a pretty cool property. Location is great, walking distance to 16th street and many food options.

Stayed twice already and it’s becoming my favorite hotel in Denver. The room is definitely a Hilton standard. Impeccably clean and has everything you need. The A/C is strong and the sheets are very comfortable. The staff is wonderful very helpful. Great breakfast and bar in the lobby. Love the school vibes of the place. Food options are about a 10min walk but not extremely far.

Booked this hotel for July 14th 2023 because it was pet friendly and within walking distance from the venue for the event I was attending. On the day I was scheduled to arrive, I checked the app and the reservation had disappeared. I called them and they said they were overbooked so they moved my reservation to another hotel, which was in another city and was not pet friendly. I was carpooling with friends and would not have my own transportation while in town, so I was relying on the fact that I booked a hotel within walking distance of everything we had planned. I also did not have time to arrange for a pet sitter on such short notice (there was actually zero “notice”, I had to reach out to them to find out about the change). This ultimately turned the trip into a terrible experience. The event was huge, so I arrived very late because Uber was so backed up with requests, and then had to wait HOURS after the event for an available Uber back to the new hotel. I know Hilton/Slate isn’t associated with Uber, but I intended to walk if they hadn’t messed up my reservation and would not have had these issues. A Hilton associate offered reward points in return, which I still have not received almost 3 years later

We loved the entire vibe of this location. The hotel is a converted scholl. The sgairwell made me reminiscent of high school. There were nice touches in the rooms which had old desks and windows that seemed original. Loved the entire concept. The 'Teacher's Lounge' had great food abd absolutely divine service. I forgot my waitress' name, but it doesnt matter. She was the only one there and was superwoman. She was super efficient and friendly and always had time for a conversation. Will stay here again.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. This is a really cool hotel with great history! The location is a bit out the way and was not the most convenient for me since I was getting everywhere by foot or public transportation. The price for rooms here are very competitive. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Beautiful new hotel in an old school and they lean heavily into the school vibe and it is very cool. The stairwells are awesome original school stairwells with an old school vibe. Rooms are modern and minimalist. I felt my bed cover was possibly stained. Also I was put into a room next to elevators and housekeeping and it wasn't really a problem but these are traditionally rooms that are not desirable and certainly not one that is given to a gold level rewards member who also requested a paid upgrade if one was available. Seems like I was downgraded. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. The restaurant seemed nice but I've not had a chance to check it out yet. Next to convention center so very convenient. Staff seemed very nice as well. No complaints there except for the offer of earplugs if I felt the room was noisy. I thought that was a bit rude. Maybe just trying to be helpful but earplugs? Seriously? Whatever. If you are staying near the convention center, this should be on your list of options.

The Slate has become my go-to hotel, and I genuinely can’t say enough good things about it. The service is on another level. The team consistently remembers me by name, which is rare and speaks to how intentional they are about the guest experience. They’re also incredibly responsive—whether through the app chat or in person, everything is handled quickly and seamlessly. The valet team deserves a callout as well—always prompt, professional, and friendly. It sets the tone the moment you arrive. Teachers Lounge is another standout. The staff there are fantastic—attentive, welcoming, and they make it easy to relax whether you’re grabbing a meal or just unwinding after a long day. And the cleanliness… easily the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed at. Everything feels fresh, well-maintained, and top tier. Top to bottom, The Slate just gets it right. Highly recommend.

I had an excellent stay at The Slate Hotel Denver Downtown. The location was ideal—very convenient and made getting around the city easy. The staff was professional, and genuinely welcoming throughout my stay. Their level of service really stood out and made the experience even better. The hotel itself was spotless. Everything was meticulously clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable from start to finish. If I had one small suggestion, it would be to continue refining the guest experience in the smaller details (such as check-in flow or minor in-room touches), but overall, it did not take away from what was a truly great stay. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to others.

From when we arrived the staff was nice, at check in Emma was friendly and helpful, our room was spotless, the bed was so comfortable and soft, we slept great! They have a rain water shower, the hotel was quiet too. We had breakfast in the restaurant and our server was so nice and the food delicious! It’s located in the center of Denver near all the city sights! We would recommend staying at The Slate!

This hotel is excellent. Not only are the rooms beautifully designed, they are immaculately clean. The shower heads are actually high enough for a tall guy too. I had a slight issue with my room at check in and Samar took care of it immediately and with grace. Hilton, please recognize her for outstanding work. An employee like her really turns a stay into an experience. Very impressed so far, and I don’t expect that to change.
