The Denver Marriott South at Park Meadows receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising the restaurant and staff, while others highlight significant issues with room quality, maintenance, and a perceived lack of attention to Marriott loyalty members. Recent renovations appear superficial and don’t address underlying problems.
This hotel was rather a letdown. While the photographs look great and the refurbishment appears flawless online, once you arrive, it's glaringly obvious it was all a bit of a facade done purely for aesthetics on their website & social media. For example, they didn’t even bother to touch the actual shower during the remodel, with no ventilation in the shower whatsoever. The air conditioning simply refused to drop below 70 degrees, and the maintenance employee was rude, insisting that temperature was perfectly acceptable. We ended up moving to a different hotel because of the AC not working as it should. The room fridge also only works for two hours, which is a major problem when you need to store medications. I appreciate the staff storing the medicine in the staff fridge, but this was overly complicated. As an Ambassador member, it was quite poor form that my loyalty wasn't acknowledged with an upgrade when one was available to my knowledge . Furthermore, the supposed "king" room we were given was genuinely a queen, and the mattress was so uncomfortable I was left with a terribly bad back. I will concede that the staff here are pleasant enough, and the snacks in the club lounge were nice, but management desperately needs to make some proper, long-term investments in this property. Frankly, I'd give this place a miss. And the sheer audacity of charging extra for parking is a joke.
Great experience after an awful flight. Shoutout to Bella and miss Lou for accommodating us at such a late hour. The breakfast was fantastic!
Great Marriott hotel. Pricier than other ones in the area but you tell it's nicer and more upscale. Staff is super great and the rooms feel cleaner and nicer than other Marriott's I have stayed in.
Clean room and comfortable ? bed. Nice ? shower and bathroom too. The concierge lounge had a decent breakfast????. The entire hotel smells new and fresh. But, the pool was damn ? cold! Edit:) We stayed here again. Same review as before. The toilet has been snaked so many times it looks like skid marks. Pool is still damn cold. The pillows suck, bring your own. And to the hotel, Get a hot tub!!!!
There is no consideration here for the idea that people sleep in a hotel. Currently lying in my bed at 8am on a Saturday and the hallway outside my door is being vacuumed at high volume. The lobby was blasting house music into the early hours that you could hear through the floor. And my favorite, housekeeping knocking on your door even when you have a dnd sign on the knob, and walking into your room even when you say no thank you.
Sonoma’s wine and Grill bar in the hotel was fabulous. We had breakfast and was served by Sophia and Michel was cooking and everything was fabulous and it was a party of nine great service great atmosphere.
The food in the restaurant here is truly amazing. I don't think I have ever had such an incredible dining experience at a hotel restaurant. We went 3 times while staying at this hotel. EVERYTHING we had was excellent. We asked about the chef and were honored when she came to the table and shared some if her recipes. The rooms were clean and even above standard. Staff was always pleasant without being over the top chatty. Sophia, our waitress, was so helpful in narrowing down what we wanted and we were not disappointed. Highly recommend!
Great location and service special shout out to the morning guys at the front desk and Jorge and Debbie awesome people greeted me and were available for the small stuff you either forget or just a nice banter welcoming you to the area. I’d come back again
Marriott loyal members, do yourself a favor and drive 19 more minutes to stay at the DTC location instead. This hotel is old, the amenities are lacking, the memeber’s lounge is a joke, the front desk staff doesn’t absolutely NOTHING to make you feel valued or appreciated for you LOYALTY to the brand. When LONDON worked here, I would return for the warm service, even though the hotel wasn’t the nicest. He left and must have taken all of the good people with him! The front desk staff is terrible now. The waitstaff at breakfast are still great.
From the moment we arrived we have felt welcomed & cared for. Grant checked us in and was so kind and friendly! David in the restaurant is amazing too! We took the time to learn my name & even suggested a breakfast item - you should try the Lone Tree Omelet, it's amazing! Thanks for the suggestion, David!! The rooms are nice, comfortable, well stocked, and a great shower! There is some remodeling going on, but it is not at all disruptive! A really great place to stay & eat!
