The DoubleTree Denver Tech Center receives mixed reviews, with concerns regarding security, cleanliness, and staffing issues, particularly surrounding events and room maintenance. While some guests praise the location, convenient amenities, and helpful staff, others report significant problems including missing property, outdated rooms, and disruptive noise.
Be wary of this hotel. My boyfriend stayed here for a work trip last August and after returning from dinner the first evening, he noticed his work bag was missing from the room. The only people who had been in his room since he left was the cleaning staff. When inquiring about the missing bag, the staff assured him that they saw the bag in the room when they left. The bag however (with confidential work and personal documents) still couldn’t be found anywhere in the room. This was not 1 or 2 items out of the bag, this was the entire bag gone missing. The next morning, management confirmed that no one keyed into the room between the time that the staff left and he returned. The IT guy reviewed camera footage, but the only cameras are in the lobby so it was useless. What seemed like a simple problem to solve quickly started to feel like a set up by this hotel. Overall, management showed an unconcerned attitude and couldn’t answer for how personal property was stolen from a locked room inside their hotel. It is now months later and we still haven’t heard any follow up from them. This place isn’t secure or safe, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone staying here in the future.
This location recently started charging for parking, so be prepared to add additional $18 per night to your stay if you drive or rent a vehicle. The manager did hesitantly offer a free drink at the bar after asking several times if anything could be done to accommodate us for the parking inconvenience which ended up being $36 over two nights. The rest of the staff was very off-putting. Our room was very underwhelming mini fridge didn't keep anything cool. TV did not work at all. Even the cookies tasted different. Definitely will be considering all this next time I'm staying in this area
My friend and I flew to Denver for the Denver/Kansas City game and stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Denver Tech. The train we took from the airport has a station right behind this hotel, so it was very convenient. It isn't close to much else though. The rooms were nice and clean and the beds were comfy. I hoped they had a hot tub to relax in after the game, but there isn't one. The pool was indoors, but it's located in the center of the lobby and felt a little too exposed so we didn't go in. The price was quite high. For just one night with early check-in was $200. I probably won't stay there again, but it was a nice place.
The staff here are awesome, overall clean hotel, and was quiet EXCEPT for the night of their Halloween party. We booked this hotel months in advance as part of a wedding party. At the time of booking we were not informed of the hotel party and only received an email about it a week or so in advance, thinking "oh, can't be that bad since they let us book then"... we were wrong. It was so noisy, even after they turned the music off, people running through the halls yelling and playing music in their rooms. Thank goodness my kids were not there, walking through the adult party to get to our room would have been terrifying for them. Even if you avoided the main party area the halls held many of the party goers (as they should, I'm glad no one was driving, just wish I wasn't trying to sleep there!) Overall, if you can book outside of Halloween weekend, not a bad stay but please avoid when this party occurs so you are not also trying to sleep at a party you never intended on attending. EDIT per company reply: They did send the following email warning us of an event "We’d like to inform you that a large private event will be taking place at the hotel on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM in the Atrium and Ballroom. The event organizers have reserved all guest rooms and meeting spaces, which will limit access to the restaurant, bar, fitness center, and pool during those hours. In Room Dinning service will not be available on the evening of Saturday 11/1/2025. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you during your stay." What this fails to note, is the yelling in the hallways, music being played in rooms very late, and smoking in the building. So yes, I was informed of an "event", no I was not informed of the ragger.
Best hotel experience imaginable. The beds are soft and comfy. The rooms are clean and fresh. You can tell it is cleaned well and often. The kitchen knows what they are doing and the interior has an awesome retro vibe with an indoor pool for the kids. Really a fantastic place. Make sure to say hi to Lisa at the front desk. I had a fantastic time and enjoyed every minute. There was an issue at checkout, but everything got sorted out. I will miss the wonderful friends I had and it's unfortunate that my passion and creativity were never appreciated or utilized.
Hmmmm. Pluses, great bedding overall, variety of pillow heights, A/C settable, magnifying mirror, make up removal wipe provided, cool building, friendly staff, shuttle to nearby concert was a surprising bonus. Water pressure was low and it felt really hard to get a good temperature on both shower and sink. Low light in bathroom hard to put on makeup. Neither mine or the other room had a shower cap. Overall felt more like a 3.5 star hotel, not at the level I'm used to for Doubletree. Still happy with my stay though.
The location was AMAZING. VERY QUIET. However—the rest. We stayed 2 nights. There were dirty dishes throughout our hall upon checking in. The room was clean but EXTREMELY DATED. The indoor pool was locked (one of the main reasons we chose the hotel). The beds—— horrible. And the sheets were extremely scratchy. Our second night when we arrived back— all the dirty dishes and trash were still sitting in the same places in the hall— and our trash was not taken from our room either. Overall this hotel is definitely not worth the prices they are charging!
I stayed over the weekend and I really enjoyed my stay. Everything about the hotel was great. I liked the layout and the area the hotel was in. Also I liked our view from the balcony, It's nice how there's an indoor and outdoor pool. As a team member Drew was very kind and helpful during the check in process!. Would definitely stay here again!
tldr. inconvenient location, loud people by pool at night. staff doesn’t care. two pros- great waitstaff at breakfast and excellent housekeeping. absolute worst experience ever. don’t plan on going to sleep before midnight because there is ZERO enforcement of quiet hours. children screaming through the hallways or drunk people talking right outside your window until it’s already the next day. Staff is dismissive and does the absolute bare minimum. The pool is closed, so WHY NOT KICK THEM OUT. not even worth being free. not to mention it’s in the middle of nowhere.
Ben and Jessica down at the challenge sports bar were absolute amazing with their hospitality and professionalism. Bartender Ben was working the whole floor while also taking care of a full bar and doing it with ease and grace and a friendly attitude. He was personable and professional and gave us a fantastic experience that we won't forget. Ben is an absolute wizard behind the bar and was an absolute joy to be around. Jessica gave us a wonderful "pro tip" recommendation to add the mash potatoes to the pork green chili. I recommend ordering the Pork Green Chili "Jessica Style." Other than accidentally locking ourselves out on the balcony (be careful closing the balcony door behind you cause it locked when we shut it.) and of course we were saved by the front desk and a patient maintenance man, other than that we had a wonderful time and would suggest this hotel to anyone.
