Guests praise the Kimpton Claret's modern design, excellent food and beverage options, and exceptionally friendly staff, with recent reviews highlighting Ana's outstanding service. However, the hotel faces significant criticisms regarding room amenities (lack of coffee, dirty linens, noise insulation issues), overpriced parking, and limited guest room facilities.
Lauren provided excellent customer service. She recognized an uncomfortable customer experience with her team. She was able to make corrections quickly and made our night! We will remember the way she made us feel in our decision of where we stay on our next visit to Denver. Also, another shoutout to Leonardo.
This appears to be a relatively new hotel, and the design and rooms feel modern and fresh. However, there were several disappointing details. The paper coasters in the room looked reused and dirty, expired snacks were placed out as if nothing was wrong, and there was no bottle opener available. We reserved the room for two people, yet only one bathrobe was provided. Additionally, there was a hole in the bedsheets, which was quite surprising for a new hotel. As a Platinum Elite member, we were offered an upgrade, but the “upgrade” was simply changing from a city view to a mountain view. Unfortunately, there is an apartment building directly across from the window, so only about 30% of the mountain is actually visible. Compared to upgrades I’ve received at other hotels within the same membership tier, this felt rather meaningless. Despite having late checkout, housekeeping knocked on the door at 10 a.m., and when we opened it, they left without saying anything. There seem to be many areas where management could pay closer attention and make improvements. On a positive note, the drinks in the lobby and during social hour were excellent and very enjoyable.
The entire staff from the valet, house keeping to the Manager on duty have treated me like family. They have made the hotel my home away from home. The bartenders at Halo and the entire staff at Severina restaurant make the package complete. It is the warmth of the people that work at this property that truly sets it apart. All the best for 2026!
This hotel is a joke! The room was an ice box and wouldn't warm up no matter what we did. The bed was freezing cold and the cover barely helps. There's not enough pillows and I had to use a couch pillow to have enough. There's no fridge, microwave or coffee machine. There's not even liners in the trash cans! I had to take my trash with me so I ended up paying to be a volunteer employee of the hotel. I was promised valet service but there was none and had to park on the street but as I'm leaving early in the morning to get some actual sleep, of course now there's a valet on duty. The room decor appears to be stuck in the 80's and nothings complimentary! I'm surprised we didn't get charged to use the restroom. Honestly, the worst hotel I've ever stayed at! It's a joke because they're charging Renaissance prices but don't even have the accommodations of a Holiday Inn. Absolutely terrible experience and 10/10 would not recommend.
This is a brand new, beautiful Kimpton located near Denver's Tech center. We had a quick overnight night stay here before an early morning flight out of Denver and we were really glad to try this place out. The property is gorgeous and the service during our quick stay was great. We'll definitely be returning and would highly recommend this hotel. No detail was missed and everything is brand new.
We really enjoyed our recent two night stay at the Kimpton Claret. The hotel was very clean and modern as to be expected with a newer hotel. Staff were very attentive from the moment we had checked in. Was provided a brief overview of the property, amenities and reward perks for our stay. The rooftop restaurant had a lovely relaxed vibe. We had a few cocktails at the HALO , they weren’t the best, but the atmosphere made it worth it. The restaurant on the first floor had much better breakfast and cocktails than I expected. Would recommend this property for all. Overall was a great experience. Thank you Kimpton Claret!
This hotel was amazing! The decor is very nice, and the food from both the restaurant and rooftop bar are excellent! There are some really stellar options for food and drinks including a daily social with complimentary alcoholic drinks. The staff was very friendly and the front desk attendant did a good job of explaining the details of my stay. There was also a really nice bath tub in my room. This hotel stay was great and I highly recommend staying here!
It's a beautiful hotel. I would absolutely come back again and enjoyed every night we stayed here. There's a restaurant downstairs that had a breakfast/brunch menu that was amazing. The best brunch I've had. The hotel was extremely clean and the lobby was beautiful. The two things I didn't like is that there isn't any parking so we had to park in a parking garage across the street. They do offer valet for $50ish a night which we couldn't justify the price for the visit so parking across the street was cheaper. The other thing that appears to be a common gripe amongst other guests was the size of the gym. It's too small, people were trying to cram into got upsetit, and left. I've seen hotels with bigger gyms and hotels with smaller gyms. This one could be bigger. Otherwise, it's a great place and I highly recommend staying here.
I had a pleasant stay overall. The service was excellent, and the hotel was clean, well-maintained, and located in a nice area. It’s in a convenient location, though it’s worth noting that it’s quite far from downtown, which may be a consideration for some travelers. One of the highlights was the breakfast — truly one of the best I’ve had at a hotel. The variety, quality, and freshness of the food were impressive and made for a great start to each day. The room itself was comfortable, but I was disappointed to find it lacked a working desk, which made it difficult to get any work done. Additionally, there was no coffee machine or kettle, so I couldn’t make tea or coffee in the room — something I usually expect from a hotel at this level as well as a small fridge where we could store some food and baby milk. Another inconvenience was that water and ice were only available on every other floor, which isn’t ideal. Even more frustrating was the poorly installed faucet, which made it nearly impossible to refill my water flask. Also worth mentioning is the valet parking, which was quite expensive, and it was disappointing that there was no self-parking option available at the hotel. Despite these issues, the overall experience was positive thanks to the great staff, cleanliness, and outstanding breakfast. With a few improvements, this hotel could be an even better choice for both leisure and business travelers.
I chose this hotel because it offered two queen beds and an ADA accessible bathroom, and my preferred choice was sold out. I had a late check-in due to an evening flight, so my arrival at the hotel coincided with the rooftop bar closing. I told the front desk clerk that I was traveling with a disabled family member, and I wanted assurance that the room and floor were both quiet. “This is my third day,” was the reply. The room was on the 18th floor, directly below the rooftop bar. I went to bed while the staff moved furniture, played music, and cleaned. After the upstairs noise ceased, I could hear the traffic on I-25. I quickly sensed this hotel was hastily built without much concern for soundproofing the rooms. The room did not have its own coffee service. Instead, I had to take one of two working elevators to the lobby where large cisterns of coffee and hot water were available for guests. The third elevator was out of order, so it took some time to wait for an available elevator to return to my room. I returned to the hotel before 10:00pm, and the rooftop bar was still in full swing. I could clearly hear everything happening through the ceiling. I went down to the lobby and asked a different clerk when the bar shuts down. After many apologies, I was told the music stops at 10:45. I inquired about possibly changing floors for another ADA accessible room, but the only other option was one king bed. Defeated, I returned to the room to wait out the bar commotion. The music stopped at 10:47, and then the staff began to drag furniture along the floor. The noise was just as loud and obnoxious as when the bar was open. I packed my belongings, booked another hotel, and went down to the lobby to check out. The front desk clerk, wholly affable and professional, apologized that I would be charged for two nights because only a manager can issue credits, and I would have to wait until the morning. The valet is also handled by a different company, so the hotel is unable to arrange for any credit. I left the hotel and went to my new booking. I did receive an email that showed I was not charged for my stay, so I decided to leave my bad experience there. Today I checked my bank statement and, to my surprise, I was charged for two nights plus valet at Kimpton Claret Hotel. Fair's fair. If you crave peace and quiet, make sure your room is not on the 18th floor or facing the interstate highway. Know that the valet service is separate from the hotel, and that there are far better options in the greater Denver area than Kimpton Claret Hotel.
