The Broadmoor consistently receives high praise for its exceptional service, luxurious accommodations, and stunning location. Guests rave about the attentive staff, beautiful grounds, and wide array of amenities, creating a memorable experience. While some recent reviews highlight occasional issues with room temperature and service responsiveness, the overall sentiment remains overwhelmingly positive.
The Broadmoor is an amazing place. The staff is so personable and professional, attending to every detail in the rooms to the dining experience. You will step into the past of the west but be spoiled like royalty. Everyone should experience the Broadmoor once in their lifetime!
Our stay was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make everything seamless and welcoming. From the valet service to the food and beverage team, every single person we encountered was professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful. The attention to detail and level of hospitality truly made the experience perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!
We had a great experience. Everything was 5 stars. All the staff are very professional. Especially Julia at the front desk of Broadmore West extremely helpful, friendly and courteous. I hope her supervisor will see this and give her the high five she deserves. Highly recommend this place.
My first stay at The Broadmoor was for work, and the best way I can describe it is: very swanky… it screams old money. From the moment you arrive, there’s a sense of history, luxury, and tradition that’s hard to miss. The property is beautiful, well-kept, and feels like a place that has been hosting guests at a high level for a very long time. What truly stood out the most was the customer service. It honestly goes so far above and beyond that it’s hard to put into words. Everything feels personal — from the greetings to the way staff anticipate your needs. You really feel taken care of here, and that level of attention makes a big difference in the overall experience. There are lots of food options on property, but I did notice that there was only one restaurant that serves a full breakfast. You can get sandwiches and lighter options at one of the cafés, but if you’re looking for a traditional sit-down breakfast, the choices are limited. Lunch options felt similarly restricted, and during my stay, two restaurants were closed, which made planning meals a bit more challenging. If you’re visiting during a busy season, I would absolutely recommend planning ahead and making reservations. Everything can be booked directly on The Broadmoor’s website, and that’s the way to go. For example, The Golden Bee is extremely popular — and if you don’t have a reservation in advance, you’re probably not getting in. If on-property dining doesn’t work out, it’s easy to venture offsite. Uber fares are reasonable, and the hotel also offers a shuttle into Manitou Springs, which gives you additional dining and exploring options. The fitness center was probably my biggest personal disappointment. I had really high expectations simply because it’s “The Broadmoor,” and while it has all the basics, there was nothing exceptional about it. Others I was traveling with seemed to enjoy it just fine, so it may just come down to preference. My main issue was the hours, 5:30 AM to 7 PM. I wish it opened earlier and stayed open later, because with my schedule, I couldn’t get there as often as I would have liked. One thing that surprised me was that the resort is pet-friendly. It’s not something that bothered me at all, but I didn’t expect it given the level of luxury and formality the property gives off. My guest room was immaculate, clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. And a huge personal bonus for me was the Nespresso machine in the room. It’s a small detail, but it made mornings much better. Overall, this was my first time at The Broadmoor, and while I was there for work, I could easily see it being an amazing place for a girls’ getaway or a relaxing vacation. Between the scenery, the service, and the classic luxury feel, it’s definitely a place I’d return to — next time with more time to enjoy it.
I have to say, it’s been two years of problems. I come once a year and I’m just asking for a smooth experience, and I don’t think I’ll be back again. Last year, they didn’t have our room that we reserved. We ended up having a couch bed and one queen when we reserved two beds. They didn’t even bat an eye. No apologies, nothing. Just had us sleeping in a room we didn’t reserve. This year, we had issues at check in again and when we get to our rooms, the beds aren’t done being made and we have to wipe down the tub because there is hair in it. Then we order room service. We said no nuts and they bring us chocolate with nuts in it as a part of our room service, even though I said we had a child with a nut allergy and we didn’t even order chocolate with nuts. It’s very frustrating. Lastly, I have to call valet and ask them to close my car door. They left it opened for 10 minutes and it was draining the battery. I had to call down there and ask them to close it. I appreciate Allen calling me and saying everything’s going to be okay, but I should have stayed home. I’d have $1,000 more in my pocket and be less stressed than I was when I got here. This is supposed to be one of the best resorts in the world and it’s been a stressful experience since I stepped in the building. I’m going home more stressed. This was a bad weekend. I didn’t decompress at all.
I came to the Broadmoor for a conference and was fortunate to get a room. If you are planning a visit, I suggest making reservations far in advance. Check in and check out ran smoothly. They were able to hold our bags at the concierge while we were still at the conference. The staff were professional, respectful and helpful. The property is large so they offer a shuttle that stops at the various locations (ex. Golf course, parking garage). The grounds are well maintained (they are prepared for the snow!). I enjoyed sitting by the fireplace near the lobby. There is a hallway with various famous politicians and celebrities who have visited over the years. Some restaurants on the property require reservations (which we did not have). I highly recommend having dinner at Ristorante Del Lago and at the Hotel Bar. The hotel also has a movie theater and bowling alley which I would like to utilize at my next visit. The room itself was very clean and spacious. I was very pleased with my visit.
We love the Broadmoor! During the pandemic we eloped at the Broadmoor, ate our reception dinner out of brown bags with plastic silverware, and sat 6' away from other guests. For our 5th anniversary, we went back and had a lovely meal in at La Tavern with silverware and service. A classy hotel with world-class service-always and forever!
About nine months late in writing this review? Better late than never! The experience here couldn’t have been anymore wonderful. My husband and I got married last year and we decided to spend one of our honeymoon nights at this hotel while traveling the state. I’ve been to this place before as a teenager for a school event, but I didn’t have the same appreciation for it that I had this time around. Anyway, parking was easy and every single employee that greeted us was very kind and helpful. We booked the most affordable room because we like to be frugal, but upon mentioning that we were on our honeymoon, we were surprised with a room upgrade (with champagne) at no cost to us! The grounds are gorgeous, and we dedicates our whole evening to exploring since there is just so much to see. The room itself was very cozy. Seriously anything we needed was right at our fingertips. I can’t say I was dissatisfied with anything about our stay.
I will be upfront and say I wasn’t totally sure The Broadmoor could live up to the hype. I was WRONG. This resort is amazing. Everything you need is on property with no real need to leave. We spent a few hours wandering around taking in all of the artwork, decor, and vibes. Pro Tip - contact the concierge before your arrival to get a spot on their tour. We didn’t call until 2 days before and it was full by then. Each restaurant is excellent. The menus vary but each one was delicious. The spa and gym were great, the whirlpool/hot tub overlooking the golf course was fun. The rooms are of course the best part. The amenities great (liquid hand soap at every sink! Literal hotel heaven!). The bed was lovely to look at and sleep on. The staff was phenomenal. Not a single person seemed annoyed by a request, which is extremely impressive given the size of this resort.
We just had the most beautiful and memorable anniversary stay at the Broadmoor. The staff greeted us by name everywhere we went and knew it was our 46th anniversary. I don’t know how they can give such personalized care with so many people. The room was amazing. Everything was amazing from the Sunday buffet to room service, the pool and outdoor Hot tub Everywhere we went was beautiful and not crowded. Despite all the rooms being booked there was plenty of space to find quiet areas to sit by a fire, sit in a rocking chair over looking the lake of ducks, geese and some swans, or some quiet hallways just to walk around alone. I hope to stay here every year for our anniversary. The Broadmoor lives up to its excellent reputation
