Flying Horse Resort & Club offers a beautiful setting with stunning mountain views and a range of amenities, including a spa, gym, and multiple dining options. However, recent reviews highlight inconsistencies in service quality, cleanliness issues, and operational difficulties.
I took a short wellness vacation, solo, which I highly recommend. I chose the Flying Horse Resort based on the spa and the health club, I truly enjoyed attending a fitness class, the cardio equipment, and the spa treatments were all exceptional. The Fortezza restaurant food was perfect! I enjoyed spoiling myself! I hope to go back again very soon.
I stayed 2/2/2026 rent the “SPA SUITE “with the hot tub jacuzzi Paid almost $200 just to be broken and offer a 10% discount the room I also called before to check if it was available and working the hotel itself is old. The carpets are old. Need slippers Needs so much updating the tiles in the showers were cracking and dirty
This hotel really has it all. I hesitate to review it so I can keep it to myself. It’s very close to tourist spots like Garden of the Gods. It’s only 25 min from downtown to dine at places like the Rabbit Hole or go to escape rooms. Or, you can hang at the hotel all day and enjoy the spa (for a fee), or the sauna, gym, heated hot tubs, and pool included in your stay. The rooms are always clean, the staff is great to work with. They helped us with an issue we had with booking initially (our fault). Thank you for a wonderful stay.
This is my favorite resort I've ever stayed at. The views of Pikes Peak and the Rocky Mountains are amazing, the staff is very helpful and kind, and the property, from the exterior architecture to the high-end and distinctive finishes in the guest rooms, are incredible. We loved staying here and plan to do so each time we visit Colorado Springs. An exceptional resort.
The service at the Flying Horse Resort leaves MUCH to be desired. I've stayed at many luxury resorts and hotels during peak holiday seasons but this place was not busy at all. That said the front desk attendants were not attentive or even trained to do all the things one would expect from the request to fix simple maintenance issues to honoring a late checkout. I was met with an attitude and defensiveness when asking for a 1230 checkout on my last day, despite the fact that I asked multiple different front desk attendants prior to having to leave for an early AM meeting. The rooms are great and elevated as well as the dining experiences but the actual hotel service was sub par. Will not be staying here again.
We just had our wedding at Flying Horse in September and could not have been happier with how everything turned out. The venue itself, is stunning! It gives beautiful almost Italian vibes/combined with Colorado charm and the mountains in the background. Our guests LOVED the food. Stacy, the event coordinator truly shines on your special day, making sure everything goes smoothly. We drove to a few separate spots on the property for additional pictures. I would recommend renting your own chairs. While the inclusive package may not be a huge cost-saver, the vendors Flying Horse works with are phenomenal. From the flowers, DJ, to cake we were so impressed. All in all, loved every part of our wedding, and are so grateful we chose to have it at Flying Horse! Additionally, the rooms/suites were the perfect lodging for ourselves and our guests. Very clean, spacious, and beautiful views. We used a suite to get ready in and it was exactly what we needed!
Beautiful resort in a beautiful location. Our room was dirty/dusty. Told front desk and were told all the cleaning staff was short??? Buy them a ladder. Especially the shelves around the wardrobe. Went to the buffett at 9 on Saturday and had to wait while tables were made ready. Staff for Saturday!
Beautiful resort with an unbeatable location near Garden of the Gods. The staff at both the lodge and athletic center were professional and welcoming. Amenities & free coffee in AM were a plus. (Had a relaxing massage and pedicure experience as well !) My only suggestion would be for a deeper clean between guests, as my room was a bit dusty. Also, GPS can lead to the wrong entrance, so a quick heads-up from staff would be helpful. Overall, a great stay.
Our room was spotless, comfortable, and had gorgeous views. The resort grounds were beautiful, and overall we enjoyed our stay. The steakhouse, however, fell short. We had an 8 PM reservation with a note about celebrating a birthday, but our table wasn’t ready. The host’s tone felt dismissive, telling us to “go check” outside seating ourselves. After waiting at the bar, no one came for us until I followed up at 8:20. At this price point ($500 dinner with wine) and in such an upscale setting, I expected our table to be ready, especially since the restaurant didn’t appear busy. Once seated, our server was excellent and the food outstanding. Checkout at noon is nice, but housekeeping knocked at 9:30 AM and again at 11:55, disrupting our last morning. We were also double charged for brunch (later corrected). These issues — combined with the steakhouse experience — will likely have us choose another property when visiting Colorado Springs again.
Beautiful, beautiful grounds, the staff was not very well trained could not answer questions about other activities at the resort for instance, the people at the hotel knew nothing about the golf and vice versa. The golf pros were very condescending and pretentious and felt like they were profiling basically saying if you don't look white, you can't play our course. The course is amazing. The pool area is beautiful. It is being worked on at the moment. The gym is awesome. Pretty sure we met the owner Jeff Smith and his dog Teddy if that was him super sweet man and his dog is just adorable..
