This modern hotel blends warm hospitality with easy access to the Rocky Mountains and local attractions. The Holiday Inn Denver Lakewood offers a generally positive experience, marked by clean rooms, friendly staff and a noticeable investment in renovations. However, recent reviews highlight issues with inconsistent service, breakfast costs, and significant room quality concerns, leading to mixed guest satisfaction.
Not provided adequate bedding or towels after specifically asking for them. Complimentary breakfast was not provided due to a discounted rate using my IHG rewards points (charged additional 50.00 for breakfast) Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night for 20 minutes with no explanation apology or evacuation. Was charged 2.00 for a replacement toothbrush, which was my fault for forgetting, but first time I’d ever been charged for a normally complimentary toiletry item at most IHG hotels. This was also the only time that I’ve ever had an issue with the mattress at holiday inn. Lumpy and very uncomfortable. I stay exclusively at IHG hotels several times a month for business, this was the first time I’ve ever left a negative review in the last 10 years. I will not be staying at this location again.
I stayed at the Holiday Inn Denver–Lakewood for a training in the area and chose to stay overnight so I didn’t have to drive two hours to make an 8:00 AM start time. I was pleasantly surprised by this property, especially having stayed at quite a few Holiday Inns across the country. The lobby is beautiful and gives off a higher-end feel the moment you walk in. The elevators appear to be brand new—fast, smooth, and easy to use. My room was very comfortable, with a great shower and an overall clean, updated bathroom. For a one-night stay, it checked all the boxes. My only real complaint is the lack of a complimentary continental breakfast. They have a full-service restaurant on-site, which is nice, but breakfast is not included in the stay. Other Holiday Inns I’ve visited with restaurants still provide continental breakfast, so this felt like a miss. That said, it’s the only downside worth mentioning. Overall, this was a great stay—clean room, friendly staff, excellent location, and a really impressive lobby. I would absolutely stay here again.
The rooms are clean and the beds are really comfortable. All the staff that I had interacted with are extremely polite and friendly. The restaurant had alot of food choices and the food was really tasty. I highly recommend this hotel as for me I will be staying here again.
We booked because of all the recent good reviews. Sad to report we did not share that kind of experience. When we arrived, the front desk worker was short with us and was not friendly at all. We then went to our room. Upon opening the door, we were hit with a musty odor and smell of urine. I always check the bed over for signs of bedbugs in any hotel we stay in. During this process, I saw small stains and tears on the bedding, and then I saw the mattress — also stained. The sofa in the room is also disgusting, and the bathroom sink was cracked. We immediately checked out and left. The front desk worker said we would be refunded. Hopefully so.
Great stay here. Clean hotel and helpful staff. No one really ever expects much with hotel breakfasts but that restaurant is amazing! Robin was the best server we had on our whole trip. Friendly great service and she recommended some local hotspots. Great job holiday inn team
All the staff was very friendly. From checking in Deserre was very nice and the room was clean and new. The breakfast staff was very good including our waitresses Jen and Madison. We were in town for just a few days and would recommend this hotel if staying in or near Lakewood.
Amazing staff!! Amazing clean rooms!! The bed was fabulous and I had the best sleep ever!!! The only downside is it was very very far from the airport. When I looked it up it didnt seem that far but that was my fault for booking it . Other wise this was the best night stay and I highly recommend staying here!! Just all kinds.of good stuff including the restaurant next door was so welcoming and had good prices and great coffee.
We stayed for a baseball tournament in the area. The outdoor pool was nice but we could hear the commotion from our room. Once 10pm came the noise died down. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. We didn't try the restaurant on site
Kudos to the maintenance staff for installing the Commando 450 shower heads (Seinfeld reference; shower head episode). The room we stayed at was great. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a nice clean layout. We stayed here because we were going to a Rocks concert and this a perfect spot for us.
Horrible experience! Made a reservation before hand and my age was not confirmed or approved for 21 or older at the time of reservation until I tried checking into my reservation. The manger or the old man running the front counter was just thoroughly unpolite and unprofessional. Absolutely zero help for me being a person from out of town. He had zero idea of options to go about helping find other hotels in the area he seemed lost lol.
