WHAT A FIND! Stumbled on this gem. In town for a gig. Waited to long and lost my other hotel room. Thank goodness! Super clean! Very friendly staff. And right in the heart of Golden. Walking to absolutely everything you need. Very comfortable beds! Great history. Highly recommend ?

We loved everything about the hotel. The staff is amazing and knowledgeable. The food is delicious. We ate at the onsite restaurant several times and everything was perfect. The view and location is perfection. Parking is a breeze. They have water machines where you select bottled, carbonated or hot. Pick your flavor if preferred (there are 6 delicious choices) and add sweetener if preferred. The beds are super comfortable and if you don’t like your pillow you have a choice of 9 others to select from and they will bring them to your room. My only disappointment was our bathroom was a little small and they don’t offer continental breakfast, but everything else outweighed that. Will definitely be back!!

We drive west out of Denver regularly for work and stopped here for a night before heading further out. Seamless check-in and easy parking made settling in after a long day completely stress-free. ?The room was quiet, bed was comfortable, and the water pressure was great. Strong Wi-Fi made it easy for us to log a few hours of work in the evening without any lag. ?It's pricier than our typical roadside stays, but being able to walk right out to Clear Creek and grab food before hitting the road the next morning makes it worth keeping in our rotation.

GREAT location! Rooms were very clean and comfortable. We LOVED the water dispenser on our floor that had sparkling and flavored water options! I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to the area that prefers to walk around town.

Pretty hotel, PERFECT location, super clean, very comfortable beds, and a great restaurant (has plenty of gluten free options if asked). Parking & breakfast not included but both fairly priced. Best part by far was the staff’s stellar hospitality! Arissa behind the bar and Brady at the front desk consistently went above and beyond to make our trip special!

Stopped by for lunch with some friends. Landie at the front desk was amazing in helping us out in getting a step stool located. She did an outstanding job. Looking forward checking out the hotel proper.

I'm conflicted in giving this review. If location is everything, TGH is a 5+. Service has that no nonsense Colorado vibe that is associated with the front range. My frustration is in the decline of the hotel. $500/night experience should not have ancient media centers, loose power outlets that chargers fall out of. Fixtures in the bathroom are loose and show years of attempted repair and damage. I expect functional features to function. Edit: Reducing my review further after I discovered the $15 parking per night charge. Positive balance: Daily linen and housekeeping service. Access to one of the most picturesque patio restaurants Location, location, location. ($15/night) covered parking TL:DR; I'm disappointed in how unmaintained THG appears. Isn't it the start of season?

If location is what you are looking for, then this is a 5 star hotel. If you are a walker and want to check out Golden on foot, then this is a 5 star hotel. You step out of the hotel and you are in downtown Golden. 10 minute walk to the Colorado School of Mines but more than that you can walk the scenic Clear Creek which runs right outside of the hotel. I found the rooms to be very average and the complimentary breakfast/coffee in the mornings were a joke. They had frozen breakfast burritos, that you had to has the staff for so they could go microwave them for you. Staff were nice, place was nice enough but again stay here because the location is great not because you want a nice room. 5 star location / 3 star hotel, maybe after their renovations are over it will be better.

Serious security lapse and disappointing service I chose this hotel specifically for the "free breakfast" and convenient location, but I deeply regret not booking the alternative down the street. The stay started on a high note of incompetence: we were checked into an occupied room. Seeing someone else’s clothes and food was a shock, and when we returned to the desk, the manager didn't even offer an apology, let alone a gesture to make it right. The Lows: Construction: We were never notified of the on-site construction. Loud work began at 7:00 AM sharp every day. The "Breakfast": Calling it breakfast is a stretch. It was just prepackaged cereal and one cheap pastry. We ended up paying to eat out every morning. Amenities: No slippers available, even for purchase. The Highs: The housekeeping team was great - the room was cleaned well and on time daily. On-site parking is available (though it should be waived given the other issues). The location is central, but not unique to this property.

Absolutely terrible! We would have been better off staying at a motel 6. For the price for a single king bed we could have gotten an entire suite at another hotel. No one mentioned that the entire hotel was a construction site. There was no river access and the parking lot was a nightmare. The top portion was taken up by a temporary kitchen trailer that was used to service the restaurant ( who wants their food carted across a parking lot and through the hotel?), the bottom or garage portion was an active construction site! The access to the river from the garage was not barricaded off and leads directly to a fenced in job site with hazards everywhere and no opening to the river or main street. Save your money and go elsewhere!!!
