I both hang out here as a local and stayed there with friends from out of town. The rooms are so awesome and retro but so uniquely updated. They are super clean and the beds have high quality sheets and are comfortable. Can’t beat the price for the value. The bar is awesome. I’ve tried just about every cocktail and they’re all balanced deliciously. The vibe is just right. And the big fun secret is “Grandma’s Basement”. You gotta go see for yourself but I promise it will bring you back in time!

Wanted to love this place so bad looked really cool. Couple of things. Our rooms was so dirty it was midnight when check in. We had black hair and pubic hair everywhere all in the bed. Dirt feet in the bed dirt all over. We had 10 strand of hair in the shower. Smelled like dog really bad. We Java dog but super clean. We just slept in our car over night as the bed smelled like dirty peole and hair everywhere. The floors, shower and bath was not wiped down it was gross. Went to go get a coffee and he could give me a 3 shot latte. I would have paid for 4 just out three in there. Baristas batters and the cleaners do not know how to do their jobs here. Owner needs to look into this. We would have definitely been back but not here as it’s runner down place that has lipstick on it.

Note that my review is not based on staying at the hotel because we did not stay there. We went for a birthday party on Saturday evening. That being said, we did visit the main bar and the bartenders were very attentive, friendly and helpful. We also visited the bar on the lower level which is a very cool and different vibe that I highly recommend. Our birthday party was on the top level on a patio somewhat adjoining one of the bedrooms that our friends were staying in. The hotel itself has a very cool vibe. The only negative I noticed is street construction which some may find a little bit noisy but it's temporary.

We loved our stay. Super cute vibe. Everything felt very authentic. We stopped at an antique store nearby and they said they got a lot of there things from there. The coffee shop and bar were really charming. They also have a basement that is decorated with 70s charm, wood paneling, lava lamps and all.

I recently stayed at La Vista Denver during a business trip, and unfortunately I would not stay here again. The hotel itself was fine overall. The room was clean and generally acceptable. However, there were several issues that made working there frustrating. The desk in the room was not properly mounted or secured to the wall, so every time I rested my hands on the edge while working, it would bang loudly against the wall. For a business trip, that became very annoying very quickly. The internet speed was also extremely slow and unreliable for work purposes. I was getting around 20 Mbps download and under 10 Mbps upload, which made it difficult to handle normal work tasks and uploads. On top of that, two mornings in a row I woke up to people arguing loudly and slamming doors. Overall, while the hotel looked decent and the room was clean, the experience was not good enough for me to return.

Everything about this place made me so happy! It is so cute and unique! The staff were all amazing and you could tell how much thought was put into the renovations making it very stylish and hip. The coffee shop/cocktail bar, El Piñon, was a great bonus to an incredible room. The basement lounge was to die for! They had different events like wine tasting and even a mariachi band parking lot party with a food truck! The bed was comfortable, high quality pillows, bedding and towels. The kitchenette had everything you might need available for use. There was adequate parking and even though Colfax was under construction, the noise level was not a problem and I had no trouble coming and going. The rooftop area had plenty of high end comfortable furniture for many people to enjoy and umbrellas for shade from that Colorado sun. I will 1000% stay at La Vista Motel again and again! I should note that it is a front-desk-less self check-in motel and does come with a cleaning fee. It’s more of an Airbnb feel and doesn’t offer daily service, but I usually hang my “do not disturb” sign at other hotels anyway, so that didn’t bother me. Some other reviews stated no coffee or coffee pots in the room, but mine had both, along with an electric kettle (I think). Just stay at La Vista and hang at El Piñon. You won’t be disappointed!! ?

Had a really great stay at La Vista. You can tell it’s under new ownership — everything feels refreshed and dialed in. The staff was genuinely welcoming and helpful from check-in to checkout. Rooms were comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully updated without losing that cool retro motel vibe. Big bonus: the café and cocktail bar are legit. Great coffee in the morning and a killer cocktail program at night — not something you expect from a roadside motel. Definitely one of the better hidden gems in Denver. I’ll be back.

Have been here to the new coffee and cocktail lounge. Great service, intimate energy and a community feel to the downstairs space which often hosts events. Exactly what this neighborhood has been missing!! My drink was excellent and was delighted to find shots of ginjinha (Portuguese liquor served in chocolate shot glasses). Has a sort of hideaway energy and the decor and furniture capture the nostalgia of the motel heyday.

This renovated motel opened about 10 weeks ago and it’s a delight! The beds were so comfortable, tons of modern amenities, plugs, usb-c outlets, mini fridge, soft towels in a mid century 70s motif. I loved El Pinon for pastry and coffee in the morning. And at night the bar was buzzing with locals always a great sign. There is a little construction on Colfax but wasn’t an issue for me.

This motel is like a midcentury modern dream! Clean artistic and just cool as heck! The coffee bar is incredible and I really want them to come do my house again! We loved our room made for amazing photo ops as there was like a full mural over the bed. Really happy someone is bringing these older motels back to what they’re supposed to be! Excited to try some of their events!!
