I had a wonderful stay at the Boulderado Hotel in Boulder, Colorado. From the moment I walked through the doors, the historic charm of the hotel immediately stood out. The beautiful lobby, with its stunning stained-glass ceiling and elegant architecture, makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time while still enjoying all the comforts of a modern hotel. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully maintained, blending classic character with modern amenities. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout my stay, always ready with recommendations and making sure everything was perfect. One of the highlights is the hotel’s location. It’s right in the heart of downtown Boulder, just a short walk to Pearl Street and many great restaurants, shops, and attractions. It made exploring the city incredibly easy and enjoyable. Overall, the Boulderado offers a unique and memorable experience that you simply won’t get from a typical chain hotel.

I had an absolutely amazing stay at the Hotel Boulderado. This hotel is truly something special — a beautiful historic property right in the heart of downtown with an unbeatable location. You can feel the charm the second you walk in, but what impressed me most was how incredibly well it’s maintained. The rooms are insanely clean — spotless and fresh in a way that makes you instantly comfortable. Room service was speedy and genuinely delicious (which isn’t always a guarantee at hotels!), and every single staff member I interacted with was warm, kind, and genuinely helpful. The valets especially deserve a shoutout — they were incredibly kind, professional, and went out of their way to make everything seamless. I also want to specifically recognize Chase at the front desk. My first night, the guest in the room next to me was unfortunately very loud — coughing, sneezing, hacking through the entire night. It was one of those things that no one can really control, but it made sleeping nearly impossible. Chase handled the situation flawlessly. He coordinated moving me to the other end of the hotel on a different floor in a corner room with no neighbors. He even arranged for my luggage to be transferred so I didn’t have to come back during the day to handle it myself. Every request was managed perfectly and with such professionalism and care. Even with the annoyance of that first night, the way the staff handled everything completely turned the experience around. Their service is what makes this hotel exceptional. I will absolutely be a repeat visitor and can’t recommend Hotel Boulderado enough.

Great, historic hotel. Well-maintained, excellent staff, wonderful vibe here. Parking is scarce and pricey, food is delicious but also pricey. Not sure why this place is listed as a 3-star property; it's easily comparable to 4-star hotels I've stayed in.

My family and I got to experience the Holiday Tea Service. It was wonderful! We got to participate in a 2pm seating - there were tea trays filled with sandwiches, cakes, and sweets. The service stuck to tradition, with enough food to munch on while we sipped on our hot tea, and enjoyed the caroling of the all girls choir. I did read some reviews that claimed that the swap from a buffet to a tea trays was a disappointment. I couldn't disagree more. This is a tea service, not an all you can eat buffet on a random Sunday. The service reminded me of my time spent in London and a 'real' tea service at Hyde Park. Also, in reference to other reviews, I wanted to mention that the bread on our sandwiches was not dry or stale at all. We live at high altitude and as expected, when we left it alone while we chatted amongst ourselves, the bread did dry out a bit, but that was at no fault of the kitchen. Overall, our time spent was wonderful and relaxing. We cannot wait to return again for the next tea experience. 10/10 highly recommend!

We love Boulder and often go up for the day, or even to spend a night. Our latest visit took us to the Hotel Boulderado for a one night stay. Since we lover older, historical places the hotel hit the mark. Lovely older architecture move update touches. Our was quaint, yet had modern features, but we both smiled at the tech plug on the alarm/radio. It looked to be a Series 1 or 2 iPhone connector. The hotel staff are amiable and welcoming. We ate in the Corner Bar for dinner and had great meals. The clam chowder and squash soup, the trout and chicken, and the key lime pie were all excellent. The waitstaff were attentive, willing to make suggestions, and hard working. We had breakfast in the dining room and found the food and staff here just as accommodating and great tasting. We will return for sure.

We had the holiday tea here in 2025, so this review is just for our team experience. In 2024 they had a buffet with holiday tea making it a great experience, but this year they changed it to a single tea tower with hardly any food. This change was not obvious when signing up and I feel like we got rug pulled. The ambiance was ok, but for the price what we got was drastically below expectations. The tea cups felt cheap, the waitress didn't explain what was on the tower at all, the tea was in a small bag in a big pot, and we were hungry enough when we left we had to go elsewhere for a meal. Save your money and look elsewhere.

I absolutely LOVE this hotel! The history that is preserved here is amazing and I’m obsessed with all the natural cherry wood. The staff are all incredibly nice and helpful. One even took us up in the old original elevator and it was a surprisingly smooth ride. The restaurant and bar in the hotel are great as well. We’re staying in one of the historic suites on the third floor and we literally have the entire corner of the building to ourselves. The location is also outstanding. It is close to almost everything! We didn’t have to use our car even once during our stay because everything we did was in walking distance.

This place may be haunted. I stayed back in 2005 with my dad while moving back into town for sophomore year. He was already asleep in our room in the wing to the right of the main lobby. I had been over at a friend’s new house up on the hill, and I came back around 2 a.m. through a side entrance. As I crossed a small lounge area on the lower level, I glanced up at the second?floor railing and saw an older woman in a white, old?fashioned nightgown, with short curled hair and glasses. She was standing perfectly still, hands on the banister, staring straight ahead. She didn’t react to the door opening or to me walking in — no movement, no acknowledgement at all. I didn’t run, but I got to our room quickly and went straight to bed. I’ve never seen anything like that before or since — and I still don’t know if it was just an elderly guest in antique?style clothes awake at 2 a.m., or something else entirely.

I booked this hotel through price line. There they said it was pet friendly. (No other info) Upon checking in, after speaking to the very condescending front desk person “Birdie” we found out there was a $100 pet cleaning fee, we were unable to cancel our booking. After getting to our room which wasn’t much bigger than a broom closet. I have to say, the stained carpet was a nice touch. I’m glad the additional cleaning fee on top of the $270 booking was being put to good use. We found the bed to be uncomfortable. The first floor had a lot of walking traffic, so there was a lot of noise downtown boulder that night, we slept terribly. Thank you Boulderado for the worst most over priced hotel stay of my life.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Boulderado for the John Summit show at Folsom Field, and it was an experience to remember! This historic hotel perfectly blends charm and modern comfort, making it an ideal base for our weekend getaway. The location couldn't be better, just a short distance from Folsom Field, which made getting to the concert a breeze. The valet service was fast and friendly, ensuring a smooth arrival and departure. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, with a stunning lobby featuring classic architecture and a cozy ambiance. Our room was spacious and comfortable, equipped with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring we felt right at home. One of the highlights was enjoying a drink at the hotel’s bar before the concert. The atmosphere was lively, and it was a great way to kick off the evening. Overall, my stay at Hotel Boulderado was fantastic. It offered the perfect combination of convenience, comfort, and charm, making it a great choice for anyone heading to a show at Folsom Field or exploring Boulder. I can’t wait to return!
